Adult League Baseball: Maple Bats

I'm in a wood-bat adult baseball team in Vancouver and after 15 years as the Big Blue (ugh), we're looking to refresh our team name, logo, jerseys, etc.  I came up with the unanymously-approved Maple Bats, a play on the maple wood baseball bats some of use use and the Canadian icon maple leaf.  Now I'm not a graphic designer by any means, just mocked up some ideas in Photoshop.  Wanted to get feedback on which logo concept works best (and see if anyone wanted to take their crack at improving it!)

Thanks in advance!

I like B because you see the bat and then you see the Maple leaf. But if you're looking for an even split, then C. A is too abstract and D wouldn't be able to physically fly I wouldn't think.

If a dragon with heavy scales can fly, A can fly. I actually like A better. D looks like he's been hit with buckshot for getting in the attic.

B is my favorite by far. The leaves seem more intrusive in the other ones.

B is the cleanest of them, definitely. It incorporates the leaf into a place where it feels pretty natural and it looks good, so I'd definitely go with B.

I like B.

A looks deformed but I see the Maple Bat. I will say, t works as a silhouette.

C and D automatically look like the bat got shot or ripped up. I like the use of negative space but the bat just doesn't look whole.

Thank you for the feedback, everyone...the team was split between A and B. I think we'll go with a variation of B moving forward. Much appreciated, forum!

C is the best by a mile, IMO. B is second but it still feels a bit awkward going from curvy bat wings to jagged leaf as part of the same line.

Clever team name! I think a dark brown and/or tan color scheme might work well here!

Of the ones you have, C is clearly the best, however, I still don't think you've nailed it yet.  It feels like there's still one or two variations possible, out of the box.  There's enough similar shapes in both the leaf and the bat that something that ties the two together is still out there, potentially.

C is my favorite. I don't like A or D
