dfwabel
Quote The San Francisco 49ers will begin offering free food and nonalcoholic drinks to season-ticket holders, an effort to keep fans happy in an era when the cost of attending an NFL game is soaring. The Member Inclusive Menu initiative, as it’s called, makes Levi’s Stadium the first to offer such service. The 49ers’ season tickets range from $85 to $375. Surveys of sports fans have shown that food -- along with ticket prices, the on-field product and parking -- is a key factor in a customer’s game-day satisfaction, team President Al Guido said. At a time of increased competition for the entertainment dollar, sports franchises are searching for ways to win new fans and keep the ones they have. “No one has ever gone the path of literally having all food and beverage be included in the price point you pay for season tickets,” Guido said. “It’s not easy to pull off at this scale.” The 49ers have about 60,000 season-ticket holders, accounting for about 90% of the seats, the team said. Those customers have renewed at a 98% clip since the stadium opened in 2014. The team will raise prices next season by $20 per season ticket, or an average of about 13%. It’s the first increase since Levi’s Stadium opened. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-10-21/fries-with-those-season-tickets-49ers-try-a-new-business-model
FiddySicks
During a Hawaii trip as a kid I bought an Oakland Raiders mini helmet on a whim, and was lucky enough to get it signed at the 2002 Pro Bowl by Raiders Hall of Fame cornerback Willie Brown. Since then it’s legit been my favorite piece of sports memorabilia I own. It’s a real shame you only think about that he isn’t finishing the season. Dude got injured trying to prevent a score. He was atleast hustling and seems for now to have found a better place mentally without drugs. Who knows how long it’ll last because a relapse could happen at any time, but every day is a success for him. You should be supporting him through this and not looking down on him for fighting one of the hardest battles that a person can experience mentally every single day. AustinFromBoston
And Patriots trade Michael Bennett to the cowboys for a....6th round pick. God damn that's a :censored:ty return for a guy like him.
Rockstar Matt
It's even better. It's a 7th round pick, that could become a 6th rounder in 2021. Fantastic deal for the Cowboys. He'll fill a vital need at the 3T and hopefully improve our interior rush (which has been abysmal this season). AustinFromBoston
I'm just surprised that's all they could get for him. He's still a great player, NE just didn't end up needing him since they went with a 3-4 system.
Rockstar Matt
I'm shocked. Late-round picks are essentially worthless. He'll be a good fit for the Cowboys. He'll be back in his natural position, playing in a 4-3 again and playing for his old defensive coordinator again, Kris Richard (I know he's not the Cowboys DC officially, but he essentially is). And because the Cowboys only sent a 7th rounder and is on the hook for $800k, they can cut him if it doesn't work out. Win-win for the 'Boys. BBTV
He’s a pain in the ass. The eagles let him go for next to nothing despite him being their best pass rusher last year. The dude has a lot of issues, and teams just don’t want to deal with his nonsense. The_Admiral
It would be funny if the 2019 Redskins went down in history as one of those teams with its own nickname like "the Federal Express" and are forever remembered and beloved only for making their crappy games not last so damn long. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Oh, wait... yeah, they don’t have a great history of straight-up cutting great players. They kinda know what they’re doing. The guy had a great season last year, but was just too much to deal with. He just can’t fit in, and has some kind of issue upstairs. I’d love to have him back just because of his skill (still has some left in the tank), and the Eagles desperately need him (they’re even begging Chris Long to un-retire), but he’s apparently not worth the headache, even for a desperate team. BBTV
Was reading on Espn.com about how Gerald McCoy (DT, Panthers) couldn't go to his son's senior-year HS football game, so some of his former teammates went on his behalf. McCoy is 31. How does he have a son that's a high-school senior? Or in high school at all? I'm trying hard to figure out the math on this one. His bio says he's married and he and his wife have 4 kids. Let's say the kid is 17 - that would mean McCoy was 14 when he sired him? If he's 18 like most HS kids, then that would make McCoy 13. That's certainly physically possible, but probably unlikely - especially if his kids are with his wife.
