Who Dat! Woooo!!!

Was glad to see the Saints win. As much as I still reflect on the Super Bowl loss to NO, can't help but like Brees and Houston losing was good for the Colts (obviously). Every AFc South team lost except the Titans, who the Colts face next week to hopefully make sure no team in the AFC South moves to 2-0.

A couple days late, and they definitely looked like a team that didn't use the preseason, but it's the first Los Angeles Rams win of the season so...

Smart of the Patriots to sign him, cut him, then re-sign him a day later only to trade him. 😄

Surprised it was only a 6th round pick though, DT injury must still be nagging him.

If it were really nagging him, he would not be traded as he would not be able to pass a physical.

This was straight up roster manipulation via the Waiver Wire.  Mike Lombardi talked about it on last week's GM Shuffle as well as in The Athletic.  They released him because they knew he wasn't going to be claimed because he is a vested veteran and the full season salary would be guaranteed if he was on the 53-man roster Saturday before Week 1, so they cut him.  Then when the 53 became official, they could put K'Neal Harry on IR (which they did), and bring Thomas back. If the Patriots waited until yesterday to sign hi, it would've been for no guaranteed money, essentially a week to week contract.

I’m not really much for this normally, but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Goodell REALLY needs suspend AB for the entire season, at least. What an absolute mockery he’s made this entire offseason.

I've been defensive of AB, but I'm out on sexual assault.

The NFL almost went a week without being disgusting.

Same. The "silver-haired, middle-aged white men" of the Pats will get him out of trouble, as they always do when the athlete can make them money. At most, the league will do a "wait-and-see" on the suit and he won't stop playing unless injured or he screws up even more (e.g., caught on camera in an incident with plenty of witnesses, or he goes full Alonzo Spellman and has a maniac episode somewhere - I keep going back to that comparison for some reason).

I like the principle behind screwing the Raiders and getting his guaranteed cash, but I find the guy and his off-field activities deplorable.

The alleged text message pertaining to "jacking my :censored: on your back" (spoilered for language)

Spoiler

This is disturbingly similar to texts that Lesean McCoy would send to his baby's momma - honestly not even as bad, which can only tell you one thing...

... Andy Reid will sign him with open arms if he's cut by the Patriots.

Considering the Patriots recent history, more likely he's suspended 6 games and the team uses that as "motivation" to win the super bowl (again).

If he was on say, the Chiefs then yeah they'd make sure he got out of trouble.
