Navy (Prussian Blue) is Duke's academic color and the Gothic word mark is used throughout the university, which is the point of using them in these new jerseys. These are jerseys to commemorate K's 40 seasons at Duke (and his overall coaching career); the grey is for West Point, where he played and coach; the gold is for USA basketball while the remainder is Duke Blue. Does UA not know how to do armhole trim? But then it's there on the back of the jersey? UA just doesn't know how to do the basics right v Compare the small word mark of st Mary's to Cal. What a nice change of pace. It's sad that organizations and teams can't just go back to the superior jersey full time without major hoop la.
