Mack, you are 2-0, but if you are going to dance in the locker room, get tips from Roy.

Well, if Clay Helton gets fired at USC, it will be by an interim AD.

Lynn Swann resigns effective immediately.

Quote

USC athletic director Lynn Swann has resigned after three tumultuous years atop one of the nation’s most prestigious athletic departments.

Swann signed his letter of resignation on Monday, just two weeks into a suddenly hopeful USC football season. Dave Roberts, a special advisor to USC President Carol Folt who previously served as vice president of athletics compliance, will become the interim athletic director.

In an interview with The Times, Folt, who was hired in March, explained that Swann understood she was putting together her own leadership team at the university.

“He felt that this was the professional thing to do, to resign and allow me to build my team,” Folt said. “That really is the gist of it.”

This feels like looking at some random Madden glitch, a la linebackers hauling ass towards the sideline for no reason or the QB throwing with pinpoint accuracy despite facing away from the receiver...or one team simply disappearing inexplicably.

Have better non-conference opponents Alabama, then students won't leave early

Quote

Saban, the Alabama football coach, has long been peeved that the student section at Bryant-Denny Stadium empties early. So this season, the university is rewarding students who attend games — and stay until the fourth quarter — with an alluring prize: improved access to tickets to the SEC championship game and to the College Football Playoff semifinals and championship game, which Alabama is trying to reach for the fifth consecutive season.

But to do this, Alabama is taking an extraordinary, Orwellian step: using location-tracking technology from students’ phones to see who skips out and who stays.

“It’s kind of like Big Brother,” said Allison Isidore, a graduate student in religious studies from Montclair, N.J.

Greg Byrne, Alabama’s athletic director, said privacy concerns rarely came up when the program was being discussed with other departments and student groups. Students who download the Tide Loyalty Points app will be tracked only inside the stadium, he said, and they can close the app — or delete it — once they leave the stadium. “If anybody has a phone, unless you’re in airplane mode or have it off, the cellular companies know where you are,” he said.

The Tide Loyalty Points program works like this: Students, who typically pay about $10 for home tickets, download the app and earn 100 points for attending a home game and an additional 250 for staying until the fourth quarter. Those points augment ones they garner mostly from progress they have made toward their degrees — 100 points per credit hour. (A regular load would be 15 credits per semester, or 1,500 points.)

The rollout during Alabama’s home opener did not go very well.

The stadium’s network servers were overwhelmed by the number of fans in the student section, which seats 17,000 — slightly more than half the student body. That meant that many students were unable to open their apps, leading to long lines at several help kiosks and students taking photos with the scoreboard in the background to prove they had stayed.

What the hell is going on in the Ucf Stanford game. I thought Stanford would atleast be able to keep it close but it’s like UCF is just playing catch while Stanford just has no idea where the ball is.

West Coast to East travel AND Stanford has two starting OT ruled out. Pre-season All American OT Walker Little is out for the season and he was considered a 1st Round Pick.

Also, UCF 10-4 vs. line for Heupel since LY, now 17-8-1 vs. points since 2017.

Holy :censored: that was fun.

MSU definitely derped their way out

of that game, but I’ll take it. This new QB looks like he could be special.

Y'all took the 14, right?

Prior to kickoff, Dantonio was 1-6 last 7 in East Lansing chalk. Herm was 3-1 as visiting dog LY

Surprisingly, Arizona decided to play defense against Texas Tech of all teams. Needed that win badly before conference.

Ok, so...yeah, I know we lost, to the surprise of absolutely no one. HOWEVER, I still am pretty pleasantly surprised at the amount of fight my Noles put up on the road in a conference game. And at least Slim Jimmy didn't throw any picks, so that in itself is a plus.

Speaking of losses...as a Seminole fan by birth and blood I am scientifically and moralistically obligated and inclined* to despise all things gator-related, but daaanngg that was a tough loss for them--speaking of losing Feleipe Franks. You never wanna see that kinda thing happen, especially to a senior with eyes set on the next level. And now its reported he's done for the season. That's gotta suck. That said, if their backup continues to play like he did yesterday, I think they'll be just fine.

*That was sarcasm...kinda.
