Redskins: I'll never forgive Lombardi for getting rid of those beautiful spear helmets for this.

This helmet will always my favorite of the Redskins. Here’s to one day hoping they revert back to the “R” or some type of variation.

I love Ol' Blasty, but the black jersey seems kinda iffy to me. Not enough white. The rest are fine, but IMO the best look has to be the current look

Why did we win the title wearing these jerseys?

Classic but not colorful enough.

Still can't stand the checkered pattern. It's odd. Very un-FCB like.

The slug is by far the worst logo the Buffalo Sabres have had, but I didn't hate the uniforms.  Compared to a lot of the Edge unis that came out shortly after these they're not bad.

These are the worst uniforms, even though the logo is hands down better than the slug.  There's a reason these were dubbed 'the turdburgers'.

It's not a bad helmet. I even have a mini of it. I just resent it for what it replaced. They also made the burgundy way too bright, which they've gradually corrected over the years.

I might be the only person in the world who actually liked the corresponding red uniforms, and the BFBS alternates were tolerable, but this particular look was hands-down the worst in Clipper history. Just zero thought put into it at all, the Clippers wordmark actually looks more like an advertisement than a team wordmark.

College football is so hard to pick for this stuff now because college football is just the worst aesthetically*.

So I decided to go with the 2012 version of Arkansas State because it's my favorite form of Red Wolves football and I absolutely hate their uniforms.

  • Stupid claw mark Adidas uniforms
  • First year of stupid matte black helmets that are still in use
  • The stAte logos weren't consistent yet (that would happen in 2013)
  • Black over red looks weird and bad
  • Dark numbers on dark jerseys. The only acceptable number colors on dark jerseys are white, silver, and gold. It's so easy!
  • The red alts were a nightmare. They had shoulder piping, shoulder claw things, dark numbers, a wacky oversized chest logo, and those stupid tentacles that lots of Adidas jerseys had several years before this.

On the bright side, I got to see the best Oregon uniforms ever.

*And also other ways, but let's ignore that for the purposes of this thread.

If the submissions can include one time special use uniforms

In that case, then here's an honorable mention for the Ducks Stadium Series uniform.

There are some aspects I like; for one thing, it was their first shot at breaking away from boring black uniforms and going all out with the much more vibrant orange. I like the simple sleeve stripe design. Although gold touching orange wouldn't have been my first design choice, it doesn't look as bad here as in other applications (or even other photos of this uniform). I almost feel that these would make a good template for a more traditional look for the Ducks.

But when compared to other event jerseys, it's an unfinished mess. The sleeve stripes don't wrap all the way around, but then that was a common fault of the 2014 Stadium uniforms. But neither do the sock stripes, and there's absolutely no reason for it! Then there's the orange triangles on the pants which are just a bit too much orange. And then there are the solid black side panels on the jersey which serve no purpose. The visible hem cut, even though there is no hem stripe, save for the bit of black at the very bottom. And of course, that horrific early 2000's Photoshop job on the logo.

Also, an unpopular opinion; While it makes sense in the context of this one game, I don't really care for the OC patch.

Selanne's porn stache sure didn't help things either.

Can I ask what you don’t like about this uniform? In my opinion, this is the best one from the most recent set not counting the purple throwbacks.

Not enough contrast, making it too hard to read numbers and lettering on television.

I know, how could it not be the one prior to this? Cause that was the earlier sixers jersey I remember, and its soooo bad, I love it. This one, I ever cared for the number font's and that odd outline that encompasses SIXERS.

As a Pens fan, I HATED when the Flyers went to black uniforms. the Flyers should always be Orange

It's not bad in a vacuum, but it's the odd one out for the Leafs if you don't count their pre-Leafs Arenas and St. Pats sweaters. It's not that the Leafs need to adhere to a strict set of guidelines when it comes to striping either. The whites have gone from having blue yokes to not having blue yokes, the number of stripes has been increased and decreased over time. The current Leafs primary set changes the striping up a bit and it still works.

This though? It disregards so much about the core of what a Maple Leafs uniform should be. And it was also the introduction of the Ballard Leaf- an overly simplified and unnatural design that represented some of the worst years of Maple Leafs hockey.

AwCHk0p.jpg

Just awful. If the above uniform jettisoned the core of what a Maple Leafs uniform was supposed to be? This uniform demolished the very concept of a Blue Jays uniform. There is nothing redeeming about this identity. Not a single thing. People who go on about the blue being nice...yeah, sure. They never used it as a jersey or cap colour though, so that's all hypothetical. One of the best days of my sports fandom was the day the Jays finally went back to their classic look. I hate the Black Jays identity though. I hope it's soon spoken of in hushed tones like the one time the White Sox wore shorts, or the Indians' all-red abominations.

CxB6mwS.jpg

So this is a weird one. It's actually my favourite Raptors uniform. If we're talking overall least favourite though? As in broadly, not just personal preferences? I think this is it for the Raptors.

The 90s set was easily the worst identity they ever had, objectively. And yet it's so insane it has kitsch value. And as the 90s nostalgia movement begins to come into its own? It's more popular than ever. The set that followed- the Vince Carter set- isn't as nostalgically loved as the 90s set. Still? It's associated with the Raptors' first real period of relevance, the peak of their first ever superstar, and the best dunk contest of all time :PAnd of course the set that came after the one I posted is the identity associated with a NBA Championship. That's THE look people will associated with the Raptors as champions in retrospectives on the 2018-2019 season, playoffs, and Finals.

So the Bosh set? I love it. As I said it's my favourite Raptors uniform. It's just destined to be the Raptors' least remembered and therefore least favourite identity.
