Not watching, but I appreciate Atlanta getting destroyed in a stadium they didn't need paid for by people who shouldn't have had to.

I went to Game 3 of Yet Another Series Loss to the Yankees and it was loud and exciting until we started to accept the result.  I kinda feel for Braves fans getting there for the decisive Game 5, only to have it become a coronation for the visitors almost immediately.

That's the only solace I take. They abandoned a perfectly cromulent stadium after only 20 years to build a monument to the wastefulness of man in a non-descript office park closer to where the white people live. Not to mention the tomahawk chop. And they had the Cardinals dead in game 4 and couldn't get it done. :censored: them.

I'm being reminded that I used to hate the Braves as much as any team in sports. Thanks to the 95 NLCS and World Series, if you were a front running kid living in Central Ohio in the mid 90's, you were an Atlanta Braves fan. I hated those kids.

They deserve to lose for the chop alone, especially once Ryan Helsley, a Cardinals player from the Cherokee Nation (where the Braves play now) raised objections to the chop.

I love when teams with Native American-themed identities, namely those who don't work with the tribes we displaced, lose in a big way. It's time for Atlanta and Cleveland to change their names.

Hell, if you were a kid in Sacramento in the 90’s there was a good shot you were a Braves fan just for how often they were on national TV thanks to TBS.

I absolutely HATED those 90’s Braves teams. But they never really won so they got a lot less scary as time went on. Once Chipper Jones retired (who I was mostly apathetic towards anyway) I had softened my stance pretty heavily. I sort of like this current Braves team and thought they were gonna beat the Cardinals, but lol nope.

I’m hoping Washington can get it done, because I’d love to see them get another shot at this Cardinals team, but I fully expect the Dodgers to dismantle them in game 5.

Dodgers will probably smoke the Cards too. We might see more Voodoo Birdmagic, because they’re the Cardinals who can only be vanquished by the Giants, but I doubt it.

I was kind of rooting for the Braves cause they’re young and fun and Nick Markakis, but it’s hard for me to fully get behind the Tomahawk.

I’m indifferent with the Nats-Dodgers series bc on the one hand, D.C. and all, but on the other, the Dodgers are alright and I don’t really mind them despite the gargantuan payroll.

In the AL, obviously, anyone but the Yankees. My hatred has been rekindled because thanks to @thisdayinsportsclips on Instagram, I was reminded that today is the anniversary of Jeffery Maier in the ‘96 ALCS. Fan-frickin’-tastic.

😬 How the hell did that caption make it through?

....Really.

KTVU figured no one was watching due to the massive PG&E power outages in their viewing area.  I guess the joke was on them.
