They knew Klay was going to be out all year, they lost Durant/Livingston/Iggy/and more, and they're basically shelving Steph Curry until next season for rest purposes. They've built up a ton of good will with their fans with this current run, and are in a brand new building which will keep fans interested enough to sell tickets. They might as well just completely tank for the best possible draft pick and let the younger guys get a little more battle hardened by taking a beating all season. They're in really rough shape at the current moment, but it's not like they're in Bulls post Jordan (The second time) rough shape. This seems like it's probably only going to be a one year speedbump, and I fully expect them to be back towards the top of the league again next year. This Warriors run is FAR from over, IMO. GDAWG Posted November 21, 2019 Share Posted November 21, 2019 Yeah, as soon as Klay went down in the finals last year and it was a torn ACL and KD leaving, I believed it was going to be a one year hiatus from the top. I like Klay and Steph. Draymond, not so much, but I do miss him kicking people in the groin.
