SilverBullet1929 3,222 Posted November 19, 2018 I could do without that headspoon and I'd have preferred the Cardinals script but those are nice and will be a hot seller. I'm not a Cardinals fan and I'd rock one of those.

schlim 681 Posted November 19, 2018 I like them and am glad they're using blue pants. Missed opportunity for the Royals to take the lead and own powder blue, instead all they'll do is mess around with gold in their alternates and half ass their own powder blue.
Pengin. 213 Posted November 19, 2018 Man I'm loving the powder blue roads. Can't wait to see the full uniforms.

Birds-on-bat and the STL monogram are the brand, and those marks aren't going away any time soon.

I ask because I'm losing faith that this will be the off-season when the Brewers finally address their mess of an identity. I think the problem with that hope is that I don't know if the Brewers actually know they have an identity problem
FiddySicks 11,050 Posted November 19, 2018 That new Cards alt is amazing. It’s a bit of a weird mashup of eras with the head spoon piping on the blue, but I actually think I like it more because of that. Do do they still have the cream home alts? That’s a really solid set of alts if they do. This also also makes me want them to put the St Louis script on the current road set. I really like how that looks. Probably way more than I should. The L almost looks like the arch.

Ferdinand Cesarano 4,544 Posted November 19, 2018 Terrible. Powder blue uniforms as a trend were a scourge. There was exactly one such uniform that looked good: The rest were hideous. And use of powder blue particularly by the Cardinals was an embarassment.

That vomit emoji is me whenever I see powder blue roads on any team. It was a weird and ugly trend that should stay in the past. I just don't get the concept. Why not pink roads for the teams that wear red, light green roads for the A's, light orange roads for the orange teams, etc? Just gross.
Digby 6,128 Posted November 19, 2018 Trying to pinpoint why I like the powder blues of the 70s and 80s but not this one. Do they need to be pullovers? Do they need racing stripe-esque trim? No piping, for a change? Is there just too much loud red and loud powder blue mashed up on this one? I don't know. Just seemed like it'd have been better in my mind.

The powers that be probably figure that since they've integrated the BiG back into the identity, that everyone is happy. If they would actually take a poll of fans and ask what they want, I guarantee you in landslide fashion you'd show that the BiG should be the main logo, and that royal/yellow/powder should be the color scheme.

If the Yankees keep their NY caps and the pinstripes, should they start putting Yankees across the chest? You can say the Cardinals uniform isn’t at the same level as the Yankees (I’m not trying to argue that), but the Cardinals used to be above these kind of gimmicks.

EddieJ1984 1,624 Posted November 20, 2018 I kinda like the Cardinals light blue, cause it makes the cardinals on bat look like they are outside with the light blue being the sky.
