Cap patch was only for Opening Day, Jersey Patch is season-long.

Thanks. I’m mildly disappointed, because I thought the patch was quite nice in its simplicity and size. I don’t buy a new jersey every year, but I definitely would’ve picked up a new Cardinals hat to commemorate the 2019/150 season.

The Padres had the 150 patch under their 50th anniversary patch yesterday and the whole thing looked like a huge mess. I’m actually kinda happy those were only a one day deal.

If anything, they should’ve changed the batterman logo for the year considering it’s also the anniversary of that mark. They should’ve make it a chromaflex patch in gold with a 150 over it or something.

I hate side patches in every case.  Using the back would've been a much better solution.

Does anyone know what’s going on with the Phillies uniforms this year? As I have it:

Home

Cream Alts (Home day games)

Throwbacks (Thursday home games)

Road

...why go to the trouble of establishing the throwback as a new full-blown alternate if they’re only going to wear it 8 times?

Not sure if this is the Right place to post this, but

Can I just say, I always thought that the White lettering The Red Sox used on their Practice Jerseys stands out SO MUCH better than the Navy the use on their actual Red Alternates. Stands out much better. I've always had a hard time making out the names on darker colors.

Adding the headspoon piping to that jersey was a mistake. One of the reasons I actually liked the old navy alt was the simplicity of it. It doesn’t need the extra piping.

During game one the Indians wore their new navy alternates:

And then in game two the Twins debuted their new navy alternate:

As mentioned earlier, the Cardinals debuted their new powder blues:

All these years later, we finally got to see what would have happened in 1982 if the Brewers had their best reliever. 😁

I like that Twins jersey much more in action.  But that gold outline does nothing to prevent them from looking like the Indians.

And speaking of the Indians, I'm glad Wahoo is gone.  But they need to get on the ball about uniforms that aren't generic.  Too bad they couldn't just buy the Indianapolis Indians logo from them.  It's based on a pattern called the Ohio Star.

Didn't see any comments about the new Braves navy alternate in action but they look like the Indians (with white name lettering instead of red)

I was at that game and thought the Braves alt looked pretty good, except for the stupid road cap.  They and the A's need to drop their road caps years ago

In a league with 30 teams, it's going to be impossible for teams to avoid looking like each other without diverging from their established color scheme, like the Braves did in the 70s/80s.

I watched the Cardinals play in their new powder blues yesterday. When they unveiled them, I was of the opinion that they were wholly unnecessary but I was optimistic they would look good in game. I do appreciate their commitment to the look by going full powder blue with the pants too. It’s the first full powder blue uniform in the majors that isn’t a throwback, unless I’m forgetting something?

After seeing them in action last night, I think I don’t like them. They aren’t better than the regular road grays, so why bother wearing them. A couple players wore high socks last night and I thought that was a little better look. The uniform with long pants reminded me of medical scrubs. I wanted to like the uniforms but I was disappointed in the end.
