The expansion Atlanta Falcons began that trend (the team logo appearing on the sleeves) with their first uniforms in 1966, but it went away after a couple seasons and not revisited until a decade later in 1978. The CFL didn't get into the 'logos-on-sleeve's thing until 1980, when the Toronto Argonauts, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Ottawa Rough Riders, Edmonton Eskimos, BC Lions and Montreal Alouettes all did so (in the case of Edmonton, Ottawa and BC, their logo was superimposed on the sleeve striping). I still think that the REDBLACKS would look so much better with some plaid. Helmet stripe or sleeve stripes or something.
