Foxxtrot44
I was watching PBS tonight and noticed they were no longer using their black and white color scheme. As with many things, it's a shift towards being noticeable on digital platforms. Also, more serifs sacrificed to our modern world... https://www.newscaststudio.com/2019/11/06/pbs-new-logo-branding/ I HATE THIS TIMELINE
dont care
I like the “custom designed Sans PBS font” that totally isn’t custom
CS85
This is about as exciting and unconventional as I want PBS to ever get. Ark
I prefer the old font for sure, but I like that the new logo is blue.
BigRed618
Ah, who needs serifs in this day and age anyway? It’s not like anyone uses chisels anymore.
MilSox
They've been gradually rolling that new font out over the past couple years. Interesting direction for them to go, changing the P-Head back to blue, but ditching the font that was actually a holdover from that era. I don't mind the new branding so much as how PBS has been influencing local affiliates where I live with their own branding. The two-station network that was known as Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV) is now Milwaukee PBS. More recently, I noticed that Wisconsin Public Television, which covers the rest of the state is now PBS Wisconsin. Has this been happening elsewhere? I have to believe this isn't strictly local to my area.
BadSeed84
WHYY here in the Philly area changed their logo around the same time PBS did, to something much blander. Old logo: New logo: There is also this apparently, but I have yet to see it used too much

DustDevil61
It’s not bad. I’m just really relieved that “PBS” isn’t lowercase. AKA @LanRovr0 on Twitter LED Sig Credits to packerfan21396
