“I’m older, therefore I have the right” is a trash argument. How many Super Bowls do the Bears have? Conference titles? Truly great quarterbacks? The answer: not as many as the Broncos!

The Cardinals are also a founding member, but I have yet to see a fan claim that their club has “exclusivity” due to age.

There's no other pair of NFL teams that are blatantly wearing the same exact color combination as their primary kit. I had a problem with the Broncos choosing their current set in 1997 and I still do now.

It's not even the same shade of blue.

The Broncos, having wisely switched back to their signature orange at home several years ago, need to do two things: 1) get rid of those awful side panels, which they are responsible for popularising; and 2) bring back the real helmet logo, with the D.

I'd go one better; all they really need to do is create white pants to go with this.

Sorta.  In many places, you're responsible for whatever happens in 'your seats', so if you sell them to dufuses that start fights or do other terrible things that would get them banned, you can actually be banned.  Kinda like renters vs owners.  Nobody wants to live next to renters, and if the owner of the rental is known and also a member of the community, there can be a lot of ill will towards that person if they continuously subject the homeonwners in the neighborhood to terrible people by renting out to scumbags.  Not that this is happening in my immediate neighborhood or anything.

My home town has a TON of short term vacation rentals and they actually take it even a step further. If they end up catching any type of noise ordinance violation that includes a fine (I think it’s the third time the cops have to show up, which is surprisingly common with idiots on vacation), the owner/renter gets the same fine levied against them. And it accrues and gets more harsh each time it happens, too. The loud morons go home, but you still caught a strike and have to worry about that with every future renter.

I will go on record that the Bears' shade of navy blue is different from the Broncos. It's darker, richer, and less metallic.

I think the Broncos switching back to orange jerseys has made a difference. So really, I don't particularly mind. If any team in the NFL has been copying the Bears, frankly its the Texans.

As far as success granting the Broncos a right to navy and orange the Bears haven't had since the merger, Nooooope. Mostly because aesthetically, the Broncos post 1997 look can't hold a candle to THE. BEST. UNIFORM. IN. FOOTBALL. It's not the jersey's fault that the team hasn't been able to find a top line QB since WWII.

It's the same thing with New England. Sure the Brady look has won a lot of titles, but its still bad compared to the Pat Patriot scheme.

To the point, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other team in any sport wear the Bears’ shade of navy blue. It’s unique.

I remember back in the ‘90s, before one would automatically use the internet as a reference, my uncle who lived in Chicago at the time and had attended Bears games thought they wore black. Tecmo Super Bowl has them in black. Yet the pants have a hint of a purple tint to them. It’s a really interesting color that is unique to the Bears.

I saw an update from the mothership for the Raiders. Apparently they added an outline to their logo with the move to Las Vegas. I think it's a little unnecessary, but if they were gonna do this, they should've made it silver and/or a bit more thick.

It's very close to the midnight navy common in baseball, but it's much more unique in pro football.

I wonder if they're going to do that on the helmet as well, or it's just for print?

Prior to the Chargers in the later '80s, not one single team wore anything close to that shade of blue. The closest you got were the Cowboys and Giants.

The Bears have been wearing that color since the 1930's on a full time basis.

Yes, it's a midnight navy.  As I said, very common in baseball (Yankees, Indians, Tigers, Mariners, Braves, Twins).

Most NFL teams wear a lighter shade of navy, more comparable to the Brewers and Rays wear.  The Bears are alone in wearing that really dark navy.

Quote from the logo description on the mothership:

...black outline added to outside of the logo (note: this outline only appears when is logo used on a white background)

I almost posted this same thought earlier.   White pants for these and an Away jersey and it's a perfect uniform.

Essentially, Syracuse got it right.  Imagine the Broncos' Color Rush helmets with these (with Navy only or Navy/Orange numbers on the White jerseys, no wordmark, and no Navy collar):

A Navy/White/Navy/White look would rock as well:

More combos and looks here:  https://www.uniswag.com/blog/new-uniforms-for-syracuse-football

Would be an enormous upgrade for Denver, who right now has one of the worst, most-dated looks in the league.

Again, put the Broncos CR helmet on these, with a few fixes (flip stripes on Navy pant to match helmet, lose wordmarks and contrast collars, and flip number colors on White jersey):

Your point is irrelevant to the conversation. There is far too much value placed on what uniform was worn when championships were won and it's getting to the point of absurdity.

I'm talking about identity. A brand. And the Broncos need to get their own regardless of what Superbowls were or weren't won.

I think being the founding NFL team with 100 years of history in Navy and Orange trumps anything the Broncos ever did or ever will do in the Navy and Orange color combination.

Bears fans are so insufferable lol
