shark
The State of Arizona unveiled not one, but six, new highway signs for motorists entering the state. They will reportedly replace the current ones that have been in place for over 30 years. This isn't a contest to select a winner as apparently all will be in use. No initial word on the location for each. They give off a national park poster vibe and are all very unique. https://azgovernor.gov/governor/news/2019/12/governor-ducey-unveils-new-welcome-arizona-highway-signs Old: One of the New:
Dynasty
That actually isn't too bad of an update, looking at that one. But why six?
CS85
Those are all pretty awesome. WELCOME TO ILLINOIS signs should have: a series of politicians in prison a meth addict toothlessly grinning while hitting a shake-and-bake soda bottle an obese man shirtlessly driving through a Chicagoland toll with diabetes medication scattered on the passenger seat a Cardinals fan in a MAGA hat and shouting "Them goddamn Madigans!" to a blue sky, lying along a barren stretch on I-57 Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. Are they going to have the Grand Canyon sign around the northern boundaries of the state? Or like the Saguaro State Park one around Interstate 19 and the southern boundaries? That placement would make the most sense. It would be weird to have the Grand Canyon sign at the southern boundary and the Saguaro one at the northern boundary. TheOatsMustFlow
The new ones are nice. I think the old ones were really nice too in a simplistic way. Wish we could keep them in some capacity.

tBBP
This is my kind of topic! There's not a lot I can say that I like about driving into or through Minnesota (particularly the state route signs that from any further than about 100 feet away can easily be mistaken for interstate signs since they're the same base color--and let's not talk about the Twin Cities right now), but there's no denying they put some money into their welcome signs... They even go so far as to landscape these things, which I've yet to see any other state do with such regularity: I don't wanna know what it costs them to produce or plant these things, but IMO they're the best in the country...by a country mile. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
