I hope there's another team joining then as well. Currently they'd have 11 teams playing that year. Columbus should take advantage of having Mapfre available but I don't think they will. They'll have a USL team there I believe, so may as well get as many games there as possible.

Louisville is already coming in next year, so I can see why the LA team is waiting for the following season.

Maybe they'll be able to play where LAFC is playing at.

LA Times is reporting that they're going to play at Dignity Health Sports Park, home of the Galaxy.

Oh my god FC Cincinnati finishes second in the group and advances to the knockout round with a 2-0 win over the Red Bulls. That seemed impossible after that opening game drubbing the Crew handed them.

If you were to tell me when the tournament started that FC Cincinnati was to make it out of the group stage to the knockout rounds, I would have told you that you would need to undergo concussion protocol. I think I have the concussion now. Both teams could have advanced with just a draw but FCC said no Ill just steal another win.

Okay, what the hell are they feeding the guys from Cincinnati?

They were drop kicked by Columbus to start the tournament, now they're Round of 16 bound after back to back shutout wins against Atlanta and the Red Bulls.

I was talking to a friend before the tournament that I really hoped some team that never wins anything wins this tournament. Or at least not one of the usual suspects.

So if that's FCC, great. San Jose? Sounds good. It's even been a while for Columbus too.

And Seattle wins, that's fine too.

That game against Columbus was their first game since March, their first game with their fourth head coach in less than two years, and it appears Columbus is really good.

I think they simply got lucky against Atlanta, and then played a better tactical game last night now that Jaap Stam better understands what he has (or better yet, doesn’t have). They played a more committed game than New York and caught the Red Bulls on

a bad defensive mistake and got a lucky bounce on a corner. I would be quite surprised if they make it to the Elite 8 or further, but Im having a fun time with this tournament.

This tournament has been fun and it was super close from not happening too after both Dallas and Nashville withdrew due to a bunch of positive tests from both teams.

I'd heard rumors that Republic and the Oakland Roots were possibly going to host a few Utah Royals home games this year.  Until, you know, all of this happened.

The Whitecaps advance. None of their top forwards, starting keeper has a broken hand? Veteran backup out of tournament due to death in the family? Playing like absolute drek most of the matches? Sure, no problem.

That's petty and I love it.  Plus it made one of the most visible and worst Fire fans on the planet, Don Walsh, angry; that's a double bonus.
