Ridleylash Posted October 25, 2020 Share Posted October 25, 2020 Somehow, I imagine that the Canucks would sooner do a navy/maroon/blue Skate or even a blue/green/white 2000's uniform than touch the Flying V's again. We only saw them last season because it was the 50th anniversary of the franchise, which meant a grand celebration. The Flying V is butt-ugly, no matter which color scheme you try to slap onto it. There's a reason it's widely regarded as one of the biggest jersey blunders of all time, remember. The Fisherman and Wild Wing at least follow the general design philosophy of hockey jerseys, the Flying V relegates the team's actual logo to the shoulders and puts the TV numbers down by the goddamned wrists. Being flexible is fine, but it's still got to look good. If you like it, great. But, for me, the flying v in any colours is terrible. It's not even in the "it's so bad, it's good" territory. Considering the amount of merch in the team store geared around or at least incorporating the flying v, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they went back to it in some capacity for a one off Jersey like this.
