Alleged Rangers reverse-retro. Meh from me, wanted a Lady Liberty!

That's a 2018 prototype.

Ryan McDonagh isn't with the team anymore.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

That would seem to make more sense as a third, would it not? It's not reversed at all.

Also, yeah, McDonagh isn't with the team anymore, so this can't be new. This must be the third the Rangers reportedly weren't pleased with.

WE HAVE A TEASER

Here's my best guesses as to which teams are which numbers;

40: Chicago

70: Toronto

77: Habs

78: Minnesota

79: Carolina (via Hartford), Colorado (via Nordiques), Edmonton and Winnipeg

80: Islanders

82: Devils

89: Kings

90: Boston (as seen through the leaks)

92: Unsure of this one. Devils are clearly 82, and I don't think this is Ottawa because of a later entry.

95: Ducks, Flyers, Blues

96: Caps, Rangers, Pens, and a team I can't quite discern

98: Coyotes, Sens, another team I can't discern, Nashville, San Jose

99: Dallas

2000: Columbus, another team I can't quite discern

2001: Vancouver

2004: Tampa Bay

Possibly a 2018 Winter Classic prototype too. Since there were no alts in 2017-18 (adidas'/Fanatics first year of jersey deal, and McDonagh's last year in NY) the heavy retro vibe seems like something worn in the WC.

Tempted to say the 92 is indeed Ottawa.

I think the missing 98 ones are Calgary and Buffalo. The purple one is throwing me off.

That's AZ, no question. Which makes me think it might be a purple Peyote jersey we're getting for them.

I don't think Buffalo's in 98, either. My thinking is they're actually 2000 because it lines up with their royal blue and gold.

At the risk of someone posting their predictions before this...

From the teaser, we're getting:

Chicago 1940 in black and red

Toronto 1970 in blue and white? with ghosted numbers

Montreal 1977 in blue and red

Minnesota 1978 (North Stars) in white, green, and gold

Carolina 1979 (Hartford) in gray, green, and blue

Colorado 1979 (Quebec) in white, burgundy, and light blue as @CreamSoda pointed out

Edmonton 1979 in white, orange, and navy

Winnipeg 1979 in gray, blue, and white

Islanders 1980 in navy, orange, and white

New Jersey 1982 in green, red, and white

LA 1989 in purple and gold

Boston 1990 in gold and black

Ottawa 1992 in red and black

Anaheim 1995 in white and teal

Philadelphia 1995 in orange and black

St. Louis 1995 in red, blue, and yellow

Florida 1995 in red and gold

Washington 1996 in navy and red

Rangers 1996 in navy and red

Pittsburgh 1997 in white, gold, and black (the leak suggests more black than gold, so the others are probably off too)

Vegas 1997 in red and navy? or that's gray

Arizona? 1998 in purple and sienna??

Calgary 1998 in black and red

Detroit? 1998 in white, gray, and red

Nashville 1998 in gold and navy

San Jose 1998 in gray and teal

Dallas 1999 in white and green

Columbus 2000 in red and navy

Buffalo? 2000 in white and blue

Vancouver 2001 in green and blue

Tampa Bay 2004 in blue and black

92 might be Detroit:

No, Detroit's never worn black and black was the second color for that jersey. The leaks from Icethetics suggested an inverted version of their red to match the Prime Howe jerseys, which definitely had no black in them.

My best guesses:

ANA 95

ARZ 98

BOS 90

BUF 98

CGY 98

CAR 79

CHI 40

COL 79

CLB 00

DAL 99

DET 98

EDM 79

FLA 95

LAK 89

MIN 78

MTL 77

WAS 98

NJD 82

NYI 80

NYR 96

OTT 92

PHL 95

PIT 97

STL 00

SJS 98

TBL 04

TOR 70

VAN 01

LVK 95

WAS 96

WPG 79

STL is pretty obviously one of the 95s; red/blue/yellow is the exact colors that era of Blues unis used. I think Buffalo might be one of the 00s using a blue-and-gold Goat uniform.

Where would you put Florida, who wore red/blue/yellow in their 95-96 SCF season?
