I wanted to share a concept soccer jersey I created.

 

First, I ordered an uncrested soccer jersey off Amazon.

 

When it finally arrived, it was less pink and more of a burgundy. I was actually relieved about that..

Now to design a logo. I went through many choices, from initial concept Arsenal logos, to eventually landing on a name based on my solo music project, Windup Fox. I already had a band logo, a WF in a hexagon, but it didn’t feel very football-ish. Instead, I decided to go with a stylized fox design holding a windup key.

 

I spent time researching different script fonts and did lots of mockups. Initially using local sponsors, eventually deciding just to use the band name in a script font, to avoid copyright infringement. The font I used is called Charles and resembles the one used by Cadbury confectioners.

Finally I decided I liked the placement and font. Time for the iron on vinyl..

I think it’s a cool idea for band merch. Side note, it’s cool to see things that people actually make on here.
