I’m cautiously optimistic about the hiring of Mike McCarthy.

I want to see how he fills out the rest of his coaching staff, but so far it looks promising.

Definitely an upgrade over Garrett.

EDIT: We’re keeping Kellen! As long as this offense stays aggressive, we’ll be very good next season.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

FTFY I’ve never seen such an inept organization... well except for the Browns

Which is saying something because the Jets play in the same stadium and are as of now only slightly more inept than the Giants.

Eagles fire both the OC and WR coach, just a day after Doug Pederson said they’d both be back.  Leads me to believe that the FO May have made the decision, even if Pederson’s statement said that it was him and that he apologizes for the confusing press conference

But is his show as “owner” or “gm”? Or just as “Jerry”? Weekly GM shows aren’t unheard of.

Owner/President and GM of the Dallas Cowboys is how he's introduced.

Who the hell would want to play for some cornball like that? The Giants, man.

We don't have details on his contract yet, but it cannot be for anything more than four or five years, right?  I don't necessarily like Peter Rosenberg, but his comments regarding the press conference were what I was thinking myself.  He must win immediately, or he WILL lose the Locker Room.

This could be Les Steckel/Greg Schiano all over it again in trying to "out-tough/out-grit" everybody.  It is another reason to dislike the entire sport.

He is portraying himself like an over-zealous HS coach, in which concussions don't matter since they didn't matter to me and I played college ball and I'm just 38.

People who have defended the hire have said "he's the next John Harbaugh!" due to Harbaugh being a former Special teams coach like Judge, except he's missing all of the charm and charisma that Harbaugh has.

John Harbaugh was at least with the team he took over for a season.  Judge is new to the current roster.

This is not just like Les Steckel, which I alluded to before but also Frank Gansz, Sr. in terms of trying to "be tough" as he, like Steckel served in the military.  Frank went 8-22-1 while still being regarded as a top Special Teams coach.

More importantly, the Bill Belicheck assistant tree* isn't that great: Mangini, McDaniels, Vrabel, Patricia, Flores, O'Brien, Kingsbury, and Schwartz

*-NOTE: I'll put Weis, Groh, and Crenell on Bill Parcells

A few of those players probably were there when the team finally mutinied against Coughlin.  Probably should have been taken into consideration before going all tough guy.

What David "Football" Getttleman gets is what David "Football" Gettleman apparently gets for the New York "Football" Giants. Damn, he is really stealing money because he is bad.  He inherited Ron Rivera too.

NFLPA is ready to print those grievances, just changing it from JAX HQ to the Giants' on the template
