It won't be the same, but you have to admit: Roger is probably happy to NOT hear boo birds this go around.

Yeah, but when Goodell's happy the fans usually aren't, lol. I do feel somewhat bad for him being booed at every single event he goes to, but he does have most of coming.

If cousins couldn't keep Diggs happy, how is he going to handle OBJ?

I feel like this offseason is copying English soccer. No reports are coming from Cleveland, and Minnesota would have to do a huge amount of restructuring to get him in. OBJ was also supposed to go to New England earlier this year.

First player to tackle him will be the new 24/7 champion.
The title will proceed to bounce around the NFL.

It was all part of Vince’s plan now that the XFL closed up shop.....again.

That's actually pretty funny! The Wikipedia entry is going to be a mess.

LOL Pats got a 4, for Gronk and a 7.  I thought they'd get more.

He should absolutely bring the 24/7 title to training camp (whenever that is) and every now and then, they should stage "attacks" where actual wrestlers dress up as coaches or waterboys and then jump him for the belt, but his teammates save him.

I don't think New England had any leverage.  I'm guessing Gronk is only coming back to play with Tom in Tampa and the alternative for New England was Gronk just staying retired and them getting nothing for him.

Tom Brady went from having what he had last season in New England to having Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Gronk, and whichever TE they keep.

Gronk was just dead cap space, so a 4th isn’t that bad, all things considered.

The NFC South is stack this year.
Bucs with Brady, Howard & now Gronk

Panthers with Bridgewater & McCaffrey

Saints with Brees, Thomas, and Sanders.

Sounds like the Falcons are going to play as ugly as their new uniforms.

For what it's worth (which is nothing), I'm not big on OJ Howard and think, unless they need to clear up cap space -- in which case, it makes more sense to trade Brate -- Howard has more value to them as a trade piece.  He's lauded all the time for his athleticism and size but outside of one ridiculous game in college where Clemson just decided not to cover him, he didn't really get it together at Bama and he hasn't in Tampa either.

edit: I'd also add that Belichick got less than he could have to give Jimmy G. a soft landing in San Francisco, maybe he just took what Tampa was willing to give up for Gronk's sake and didn't really push the issue.  Although, really, a 4th rounder seems reasonable.
