It's a ploy by Garrett to get paid lots of money to continue coaching in the National Football League.

Maybe he just only coaches for teams he played for

If anyone's got any ulterior motives here it'd be the Giants.

Oh, cool. I can finally ditch that soft spot I had for that goonish organization and join the rest of the football universe.

:censored: the Raiders.

Damn, that felt kinda good! I hope they lose every game forever now.

Goodell made it official on Saturday, but it seems that the nearly double of projected PSL income made Mark Davis and Miss Carol do that H&R Block dance.

Join the club. Here, have some KC barbecue. Now, your choice, Gates, Arthur Bryant's, Jack Stacks, SLAP or Oklahoma Joe's Joe's KC?

Las Vegas Raiders doesn't sound very good. They should have just re branded to something new. Feels weird that Oakland's team is in Vegas now with the exact same logo.

Um, they won a Super Bowl as the Los Angeles Raiders...with the exact same logo.

Love me some John Facenda.

So Antonio Brown has a warrant out for his arrest for felony burglary and battery after beating up a truck driver that was delivering his own stuff to him. He refused to pay the $4g for the shipment and decided that pulling the guy out the truck and taking the key and unloading the truck was the right thing to do. This is starting to look like an OJ situation where a dude gets arrested for stealing his own stuff. Atleast this one doesn’t have a murder attached to it, instead just a bunch of other cases of erratic behavior, sexual assault, and probably rape. You be the judge as to which ones worse...

Yeah, it sure is. But it isn't possible to give someone "all the credit in the world" while also stating he's "one of the most stupid lucky QB's I've ever seen."

Why not?

I can give Eli credit for being good enough to win 2 Super Bowls no one had him winning.

But also say he had some really lucky breaks helping him get there.

In contrasting News, Fitzgerald is staying with the Cardinals for a 17th season.

I’ll never understand why he’s so content wasting his talent on such an inept team, but god damn do I admire his dedication to them.

I never understood that too.  Him and Shane Doan loved playing on losing teams in the Desert.  I am pretty sure Goldschmidt would have done the same with the Dbacks had they not traded him.

The Raiders haven't been nearly as good, for a long while, as they used to be in the 1970s and 1980s (back in the early 1990s, a friend who was a Raider fan said that they had the best winning percentage of all teams in the "big 4," though I doubt that's true now).  That said, the Raiders are still one of those few brands that sort of transcends their home. At this point, they're not the Oakland, LA, or Las Vegas Raiders.  They're just "the Raiders."  Putting aside the other franchise name/history arguments the boards have seem, this one is different than, say, the Atlanta Thrashers or even the Houston Oilers.  This is more like the Dodgers or something.  The Raiders mean more to the NFL than most teams and they have a different following than most as well.  The absolute only way the Raiders name wasn't moving to Vegas was if there was a Cleveland Deal in place, where we knew the Oakland Raiders would exist again in short order.

I agree that "Las Vegas Raiders" doesn't sound as good as "Oakland Raiders."  Then again, I remember the first move to Los Angeles and that sounded weird...for a while.  I got used to it.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

We’ve now arrived at the Alonzo Spellman phase of AB’s downfall.

Surprised Andy Reid hasn’t already tried to sign him.
