I know this doesn't pertain to 2020, but this is interesting none of the less..

To open the following season, Clemson and Georgia will meet in Charlotte. In order to make this game happen, each school had to cancel a game against a Mountain West foe (Georgia had San Jose State while Clemson had Wyoming).

At least for San Jose State, They found a spot in another team's schedule: Southern California. The Trojans cancelled their game with UC Davis, what would of been the first ever game against an FCS foe for the Trojans. Backlash from fans lead to that game getting canceled.

Paying off SJSU and Wyoming is still a bargain.  They will make at least $5M plus expenses each from both the 2021 Charlotte and their 2024 Atlanta game

Both schools make around $3.5M from a home game before expenses.

Clearly Georgia and Clemson are scared since San Jose State and Wyoming beat SEC teams last year. Just don't look up which SEC teams they beat.

Also, I hate neutral site college games. College sports are at their best when you get to see the on-campus atmosphere. The worst thing about college basketball are early season games at random tournaments in a weird city. I'd rather watch Jacksonville (who plays in your local rec center) hosting somebody over whatever tournament that's happening in Vegas or something. Maybe there's another OU-Texas at the Cotton Bowl situation out there.

Damn!  Colorado seems to have really panicked and former UCLA coach and current Dolphins assistant Karl Dorrell looks to be the leading candidate.  (Black) Karl was 35-27at UCLA but was 24-18 in conference.  His assistant pools has to be above average since it will be difficult to hire a staff this late.

Another Power 5 school not trying to hire Bret Bielema, who won three consecutive B1G titles in the era before Urban, and also got Arkansas to 5-3 in the SEC West before the floor dropped

Marshall vs East Carolina has been moved up a week in honor of the 50th anniversary of the crash that killed 75 people. The crash occurred after the game at East Carolina.

;Bama strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran, leaves to take an on-field role at Georgia.  While he was making $600K, has been with Saban for all of his national titles, and got a Regions Bank commercial (seen below), Cochran is only 40 and wants to be a coordinator or a HC in the future and there is talk that after years as the eyes and ears for Saban in the off-season, he has worn thin due to years of other staff departures.

Jimbo Fisher talked to a potential recruit outside the appropriate recruiting window and used creative timekeeping to practice more than allowed. Seems the NCAA is only good for being a glorified traffic cop while the big programs are robbing banks behind them.

So if it's conference only for football, Notre Dame is likely ACC.  But what about other Independents?  BYU? UConn? Liberty? Army? UMass? New Mexico State?

BYU could land in the Mountain West for a season. Army, UConn and UMass could have a home in the American. New Mexico State and Liberty might be in the Sun Belt.

Probably BYU and New Mexico State to the Mountain West, Liberty to the Sun Belt, Army to the American. I don’t know about UMass or UConn - I don’t think anyone would want UMass (maybe the MAC, or Sun Belt to get to an even number after taking Liberty?) and the bridge is likely burned between the AAC and UConn.

BYU could probably join the MWC. Navy could probably get Army into the AAC for the year. NMSU may be able to get into the Sun Belt for old times sake. Liberty is probably left high and dry. Same goes for UMASS and UCONN, but they might be able to join the MAC.

Some guys on the local radio were floating ideas on what the CFP could look like if all P5 conferences go to conference only regular season. If it stays at 4 teams it'll probably be the conference champs from all P5 besides the Pac12 which is seen as the weakest conference. One idea that I hope they do is just have all 5 P5 champs (or Notre Dame if they do great vs the ACC) and the best G5 champ. Also they discussed the PAC doing a round robin to make up for the ooc games lost
