I don't know how forcing every team in the PAC12 to go to Arizona is somehow safer than going elsewhere in the country. Same with the ACC with Miami and FSU, if they go conference only. And at this point, I’m still skeptical of that working. If it does however, then maybe you can do something similar. Otherwise, the conferences are all too spread out for this to make sense. The Sun Belt, SEC, American, and C-USA all stretch from the east coast to Texas (special nod to C-USA for El Paso) and a lot of those schools are in current hotspots. California plans to start practice in January and games in February and I would assume the NJCAA does the same. Granted, lots of schools (if not all) will be doing online only. So that problem could conceivably be handled, but doesn't handle a million others. Like picking sites, and those sites being appropriately setup as a bubble. Not all of the 130 FBS schools can go hang out in a resort, and it's difficult enough to keep that bubble intact even with professionals instead of college kids. All the AZ schools did 1 or 2 years ago and there used to be a league in MI-IL-IA that collapsed not that long ago. In a way, you're right. Half of their schedule was gone thanks to other conferences either going with a conference only schedule or outright cancelling their seasons. People are going to say that health and the safety of the players are a big part of the decision... but half their season gone, I think it was a money decision. I also want to say that at this point, I personally think that Group of 5 schools might want to start planning to schedule games against fellow Group of 5 schools. The Sun Belt is going to allow each member to have their four non-conference games and from my research, it comes out like this: -Appalachian State and Troy comes out the worst for wear as they lost three non-conference games each -Coastal Carolina lost one game and has the potential to lose another game depending on what Kansas does for their 9+1 format -Most of the schools have lost at least 1 game -Texas State is the lucky one as they've lost no games.
