Great minds think alike. I posted it too. 🤣

Guess I should go back a few pages next time I make my obvious joke lol.

Anyways I really don't like the Falcons wearing red pants. If I had my way they'd wear only white, but black would work too (with red socks and not with the black jersey).

I can't seem to get it work (working remotely) but can anyone make a quick color swap of the red and black of the new black top so that it matches the new red pants? I think that would look much better than the gradient fiasco.

It’s really weird how the Falcons have such a problem choosing what their primary jersey color is. They can’t seem to decide if they’re a primarily black team, or if they want to be a more red heavy team. That’s sort of frustrating.

Im starting to wonder how the gradient jersey would look with white pants. If they can’t choose a primary jersey color, just split the difference!

If you read the articles and watch the videos, you'll realize that it is essentially the players that are pushing the all white, all black, all one color because it's *FIRE EMOJIS* whatever TF that even means. Why does all one color automatically equal fire emojis?

The Saints and Panthers wear black on black for most of their home games, but God forbid the Falcons take that into consideration and try to be different like they've been.

How bout leave the uniform decisions up to the team management or anyone that actually has an eye for graphics and design? I bet we'd never see an all white with white socks look again...

From earlier in this thread, HT to Canzman for the super quick combo artwork

Ok, I’ve settled down a little and have some thoughts. Yes, the gradient is hot garbage. Yes, the uniforms are gimmicky and are already outdated and look like a one-off set for Texas Tech. However, there are some good combos here.

Home:

Black/White/Black

Black/white/red

Throwback

Black/Black/Red

Black/Red/Black

Red/Black/Red

Away:

White/Black/Red

White/Red/Black

White/White/Black

White/White/Red

The problem is, I don’t trust them to use the combos correctly and fully expect nothing but monochrome looks and leotards.

Damn... you kinda just described exactly what they did

If you told people the new Falcons set would be their 03-19 set but simplified, I think most would be on board.

And yet.

This forum sometimes man....

I swear people just want to complain just to do it. I can't wait for 5 years from now when everyone starts pining for last year's jersey even though I know for a fact everyone was bitching about the last set when reebok released them.

Anyway,

Things I like:

- Custom font that matches the brand identity

- ATL wordmark across the chest, reinforcing the matching font style

- The side stripe (as long as they match the pant)

- Otherwise, clean yet distinct design

Things I don't like:

- The number are a touch too big

- Please don't mismatch the stripe

Oddly enough, the gradient jersey is the only part of this uniform set that doesn't bother me. It has no business working, but it does. The number font is nice too.

Overall, these uniforms look low-budget, like the cheap catalog ordered uniforms that a fly-by-night indoor football team would wear. They don't look like an NFL team. The red pants are probably the worst part of the entire set since they don't match with anything. When will NFL teams learn that inconsistent side panels/stripes look terrible? People complained about the 2003-2019 uniforms, but they're looking pretty damn good right now.

I think it’s a case of fans clamoring for whichever isn’t the primary. They wanted red elevated shortly after the last rebrand because it had gone 13 seasons without being primary. And now 16 years after that decision, the fans get black back. It’ll surely go back to red as the primary whenever they rebrand next.

It's like my wife: when she wears her hair straight for a while, I miss the curly look; when she goes with the natural curls for a while, I long for the straight-hair look.
