I'm not from the Area, but would Florida have enough venues to support all 30 teams with present and past spring parks (Hammond Stadium, Cocoa Beach, Disney World Braves etc.)? Florida is much more spread out when it comes to venues. If you're working with 30 teams, some could potentially have to travel 4 hours (West Palm to Tampa) for games. Yes you could add places like former venues such as Disney, Space Coast (former Nationals), Dodgertown, as well as the Trop and Marlins Park or some college stadiums like USF in Tampa, UCF in Orlando, or UM in Miami. If the point is limiting travel and quarantining Florida isnt the best bet. Also weather becomes a daily issue once the summer rainy season kicks in around May-June and lasts thru September-October. The Miami metro area is also a huge hotspot for Covid right now, so that would be a major concern too. There's a reason one team has a dome and the other has a retractable roof that's usually closed. You also have to deal with the daily thunderstorms. Obviously, though, the primary thing with all of this is the logistics. Even if you don't turn the "new" Central and East into largely bus leagues, you're still cutting down significantly on the total number of flights at play by having both L.A. teams together; both Bay Area teams together; both Chicago teams together; and both New York teams together. For example: the Indians can fly to Chicago, play a 3-game set with the White Sox, a 3-game set with the Cubs, and drive to Milwaukee to play a 3-game set with the Brewers before flying back home. Fewer touch points, fewer people necessarily involved, and lower cost. If you keep the current league alignment, you're rarely if ever going to be able to duplicate that scenario. I would've found room for some clips from Angels in the Outfield, Little Big League, Hardball, Tiger Town, original Bad News Bears, and the "baseball in film" at the end is unnecessary (yeah, no :censored:, dude.
