kiwi_canadian
The owner of the Toronto Wolfpack, who play in the British Super league, announced their intention to bring a rugby league club to Ottawa. Today they announced the team will be known as the Ottawa Aces and will play in the third tier league of the British Rugby League system. (the same level where the Wolfpack started)
jonny24
I haven't seen any explanation of the name, but it seems rather generic. The old-timey logo kind of reminds me of the original CFL logo: Looking at their website, it seems they'll also be using a version with the monogram filling the shield without the name: and the monogram without the shield or leaf as a standalone:
nas1787
I actually quite like the OA logo on its own. It looks like someone just took the Marseille logo, deleted the middle, and shoved the two outside bits together. There's a bit too much negative space in the shield version, and the maple leaf could use a bit more finessing. Interesting that the Wolfpack went with an ultra modern logo, while the Aces are going with this fauxback look.

MilSox
Ah, THAT'S why this looks familiar. Granted, they could have chosen much worse to take their inspiration from.
