I'm sure somewhere in there, there's an old timer in blue and white, remembering those old days.

And while I like the current ram head logo a lot, I think it'd be neat to see the old one that was in use from the 1970s-80s to get cleaned up and modernized a bit.

I guess, but wouldn't it essentially be just another well-done ram head logo? Why go through the trouble of doing that when you have a well-done ram head logo?

agree and the fans don't seem to mind that the logo was born in St. Louis. It shows up in several of those pictures. Just recolor it and call it a day.

The angling/perspective is slightly different, and it's from the LA days, while the current logo is from the St. Louis days. It might tie in better with the return of the blue and yellow. I'm just a fan of seeing old looks and logos being modernized, that's all.

I get that the angling/perspective is different, but in the end it's just a ram head logo. The current one works just fine, so I don't see the need to create a new one from essentially scratch (the old logo is so dated any update would need to start from scratch anyway).

And technically the speaking the old logo has its origins in Cleveland, not LA :upside:

McCarthy's right though. It doesn't seem like LA fans care that the current ram head logo was adopted during their stay in St. Louis.

No, it doesn't bother me either. I was just thinking it would be neat to see if the ownership would go all the way and not just bring back the older colors, but even older logos and wordmarks. Seems a lot of people still like the 1984-94 wordmark (though I don't).

Yeah I really dont have a problem with the curent ram head, would honestly just like it recolored and even if they don't I like the current look collar aside.

Also am I the only one that would have a problem with moving to a yellow home jersey. Yellow is just too bright, they should just go blue top and yellow bottom if they go back to blue and yellow.

I was going to think of a clever comment about Infrared being that man in the photo, but I wouldn't want to accuse him of wearing a counterfeit jersey. Woof.

I'm not huge on the current Rams logo, but it serves its purpose and would work fine recolored. The throwback logo is too vertical. The proportions of the current logo work much better.

It's hilarious, there's ONE person in all of those pics that Goth posted who's wearing one of the current Rams jerseys, and it's still the alternate throwback. Not a single current Navy and Tangold Nike jersey to be found.

Edit: Ahh dammit there's another guy in the bottom left of the very last picture he posted that's rocking the current Nike home jersey. He's standing next to his dumb girlfriend and some idiot decked out in Dodgers gear though, so I'm just not gonna count them.

My thoughts:

On the yellow shirts I think the white sleeves and cuffs should remain yellow. This will still maintain consistency from home to road to Color Rush jersey, but right now the whole thing's just a little too bright. I also don't like when white touches yellow which is why I'd change the collars to blue. The pants stripe reminds me of what a bunch of colleges were doing circa 2004 and is a step too far for the jersey that isn't a drastically modern update of their old uniforms. I'd take your swooping shoulder stripe and apply it to the pants so it starts thick at the top and gets thinner as it's interrupted by the bottom of knee, but never comes to a full Panthers-like point.

Also blue facemask. White, gray, whatever will stick out too much. And the shoulder stripes on the throwback never came to a point like that.

IMO, of course.

good eye, mcCarthy, ive actual made most of those changes - i'll explain the ones i didn't in next week's Fix It Friday

Beautiful Concept! I think the alternate concepts work better than the main uniforms. But the road alt. might be a bit close to the San Diego Chargers Road uniforms even though the yellow sleeves help a bit...

Futura Display.

Oh, didn't realize until I found it on a font site that it's the same as the new wordmark. In that case, I do hope they adopt those numbers for continuity's sake, as that's one of the small things you should do to have a strong brand identity.

But who am I kidding, the Rams will have some awful custom Nike-designed font.
