Good look at some players in the jerseys:

Man, I really love these and can’t wait to see ‘em in action. The powder and white are fantastic, but the navy jersey looks really sharp in this video too.

I agree.  This is my crude attempt to de-italicize the jersey numbers (by 7 degrees).

As someone else mentioned, the italicized numbers just make it appear as if the jerseys were twisted when they were tucked into the pants.

(for some reason, the NOB is italicized more than the numbers)

All the small details they bungled.

Still don't understand how they have so many unnecessary combos, but this isn't one of them.

You keep bringing this up but the Chargers have never had powder blue pants.

So my thoughts...

Brilliance. The Colour Rush sets are dumb, and I'm convinced the navy one only exists because of Spanos, but like the Bucs and Browns? I'll accept dumb alternates for nice primaries. And the primaries here are nice

I was never a fan of the gold/yellow pants, but they're not egregiously bad and they're fine as a change up.

I admit I miss the panels for the bolts on the jerseys but what they went with is growing on me. Otherwise? The home and road jerseys look sharp.

I love the new pant bolt. It's no longer that wave tribal bs they've been wearing for years.

The number font I'm neutral on. Block font would have been better but what they went with is far better than the agency font they had, so upgrade. It works with the brand.

The helmets...yes. Yes. No gimmicky powder blue shells, just straight up the throwback helmets but modernized. I love it.

My single...not really complaint, more like question...concerns the numbers. I love them on the proper throwbacks, and I'm surprised by how much I like them here. My question is "how will this work with merchandise?"

What number will they use if you buy a t-shirt or hat with the helmet on it? What number will they use if you buy a replica helmet? My personal preference would be if they used "60" (1960 was their inaugural season) and just quietly removed it from rotation but they probably won't so 🤷‍♂️

Pretty much a perfect uni upgrade. It's a sharp looking set, and I love how no frills it was from a launch and presentation perspective. No flowery language about colour symbolism, no design-speak about ratios, no two years of teasing and build up. Just the old colours and unis everyone likes, modernized. Well done, Chargers.

I was going to say replace the number with "SD" monogram in a similar font for a secondary logo.  Or use "50" to resemble it.  Then I realized LA.

Since we've opened the alt helmet can of worms, the Browns could use helmet numbers on the color rush to add a little more brown.

Thank you. I am shocked at the outcry for something this club has never had. I’ve seen about 20 posts bemoaning the lack of powder blue pants and all I’ve thought is how it would go against the legacy and history of the powder blues. They absolutely nailed the primary sets. Both the primary jerseys over white and primaries over yellow are staples in the Chargers history and stay true to who they are. Those crying for powder blue pants have no clue.

And they never should have them, either.

Edit: Yep, what @aawagner011 said.

Thank you for mocking these up. The last one on the bottom is the best. Hopefully they'll change to that before the awkward white helmet with a navy bolt becomes a tradition.

The dark bolts they went with are pretty good but this white version is fantastic.  Interesting dilemma since the 90s set was great but powder blue is preferred. Separate alts like this is much better than prior attempts to combine them.  Some teams have strong disparate looks and traditions that deserve unrelated "clash" alternative looks.  Chargers navy. Jazz sunset may become one. Miami Heat vice quickly becoming established.  Cavs orange?  City and color rush are ok avenues for these.

Best looks are home and away with white pants. I could live without the rest.

I prefer the Royal set to have an inner Royal outline.

Well, if it is like previous Riddell helmets, they won't HAVE a number on them.

I'd definitely take the yellow pants over these imaginary powder blue pants. Especially as a secondary pants choice.

I’d have liked powder blue pants, but at least not having them eliminates an all blue combo. So I think it’s a good trade off. If I were the Chargers, I’d wear each alt once each, powder on yellow twice (once early in the year and again late) and powder on white four times.

1 - Which of those combinations looks the best?

2 - Why do you want them to look less than their best at least 4 times, maybe 7 times?

I'm curious as to how bright those yellow pants really are.  They call it "sunshine yellow", we'll see about that.

The Chargers play the Panthers at home, that could be a color rush game since the primary colors are similar.

They have an away game in Miami, who wears white at home.  Which uni would the Chargers wear then?

Watching that just reinforces my feeling that the royal jersey is definitely unnecessary and the navy jersey mostly so.

I'm not trying to be contrarian, but I'm really struggling with the love for this set. The extraneous uniforms (two of them!) drag the whole thing down for me.

Ahhh! There are only 16 games! This is madness!

I don't see why they'd play the Panthers in Color Rush, the Panthers' white is perfectly fine as a clash assuming the Chargers are in powder. The Panthers' blue is a home alt, no idea why that would be an issue here.

The italicized numbers are my favorite part.  They provide a little flair to an otherwise nice/professional but... static font.  It adds flair without being tacky, and goes with their brand and the whole "dynamic" thing.  It looks especially great in the 'shop of the guy running with the ball.

I think that's why this set is so great (other than the two CRs) - they didn't go to extremes with anything they did.  They did exactly what the Falcons should have, and introduced new things without turning the volume up to 11 on any one aspect of it.

Outside of only one or two quibbles, they did a fantastic jorb with this.

There's still plenty of light blue in the Panthers' road set. The giant pant stripe shard things are blue and so are the shoulder stripes and the socks when they wear white on white. I'd also prefer one of the Color Rushes for that game.

If you're going to be confused on which team is which when the Chargers are wearing massive lightning bolts on them and the Panthers have silver helmets, I don't know what to say.
