I try to stay away from the debating in the thread. More often than not it’s a constant circle of-

“These uniforms suck.”

“No, they don’t. Actually I think-“

”I SAID THEY SUCK. THEY DON’T LOOK LIKE THE RAMS OF THE 70s, 80s or 90s SO OBVIOUSLY THESE AREN’T THE REAL RAMS”

Are these uniforms great? No, but it’s nauseating going into this thread and it’s  largely “EVERYTHING SUCKS” and a very tiny bit of “...uhh, I like these”. I mean obviously opinions are opinions, but good grief. I’ve never seen so much rabid discourse about a uniform set.

lol, exactly.

Ah nevermind, I thought mono blue was their "default home" uni. It was only worn twice in 2020

They probably wouldn’t have worn mono blue as much as they did. Early in the season they had a manufacturing problem with the “Sol” pants

I can't believe this thread is still going on:

It's going on because colortv takes any statement that's not praise for the rams as a personal affront that he must avenge.  I don't think I've ever seen anyone take criticism of his team's uniforms so personally - and I've been here for nearly 17 years.

lol, the all-out assault on every aspect of the Rams uniforms is a little different than what you're making up.

There was that one member (can’t remember the username) in the Falcons thread who took deep personal offense to ATL slander. This rivals that.

I'm also a Rams truther.

I think the criticism of their current set is way overblown, even for this place.

but do you take it personally that people don't agree with you?  Do you feel the need to be the white knight that defends the honor of the team that you're a customer of?

And FWIW, I don't think the criticism is overblown.

This is what I mean by overblown. "White knight" is overblown language.

Language that has nothing to do with the Rams uniforms.  So what exactly is overblown?  The criticism of the uniforms?  Or words people are using that don't have anything to do about the uniform?  Or you're not sure, so you're just saying that everything is overblown because it's just easier that way?

Who's taking it personally? It's just sports uniforms, I'm having fun.

Seems to me you and a few others using that same overblown language like "white knighting" are the ones taking it personally.

Funny how I'm supposedly taking it personally when your the one who...is making it personal. Laughable.

This discussion has become so G-ddamn tiresome.

If you like the Rams uniforms cool, go for it. Enjoy it. @BBTV is right though, some people here need to stop taking any criticism against the Rams' uniforms as a personal insult. And for G-d's sake...can you all STOP with the "you only want what you grew up with/with what they wore in the 60s" @colortv and @DNAsports

It's a lazy, dumb argument that reduces peoples' legitimate aesthetic preferences to easy "gotcha" moments. You want your opinions to be taken seriously, yet you're willing to denigrate any opinion you don't agree with. I was born in 1987. My "coming of age" as a football fan occurred during the Rams' stint navy and old gold. So my preference for the throwbacks isn't down to me being stuck in the past. And I'm hardly alone. So find a way to engage with the people you disagree with respectfully or just don't say anything at all.

And you know what? The Rams and Chargers both unveiled their new unis, and have both completed their first seasons in them. Neither team is changing for at least four more seasons, so you know what? Maybe this thread should be shut down.

It may come to that if you all can't stop yourselves from insulting your fellow posters.

The Rams yellow pants look a lot better on field to me than the Chargers, something about the Chargers looks washed out:

Yes, thank you. The Chargers changing seemed like such an awesome move, but I was instantly put off as soon as the uniforms were unveiled. There’s just something about the shades they picked that just feels off. It should be really bright and vibrant, but instead it looks dull and sort of boring. The more I saw them the more I kinda hated them, and I actually think they’re sorta toward the bottom of the league at this point.

Overall the Chargers look fine to me, but the gold pants for some reason just seem washed out and don't pop.

I think they should relegate the gold to a trim color. They really don't need anything outside of color rush type "special" uniforms beyond the all-white road and powder blue home

I think you got it the other way around. The Rams yellow is off where as the Chargers yellow is much more similar to the Packers and Steelers athletic gold, which is a great shade.
