This is pleasant news. I don’t know if I’m alone in this, but the Bucs white Jersey, pewter pants combo is among my favorite looks in the league. Top 5 for me. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved that look.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

The 2011 Cleveland Browns went the whole season without wearing their brown home jerseys. I think that has it beat 😁

There have been teams like cowboys and Buccs who have worn white only throughout the year. Pretty sure no one has worn only their colored jersey. That season the niners wore red 11 times.

Whew, ok good. I was getting really worried, with them making the Super Bowl and all, that they were going to surpass their yearly tradition of making a decision that annoys the absolute :censored: out of me.

There are a few angles that they’re pushing for here, and they all suck ass.

Brady is good in white in the Super Bowl! Yeah, except for the game vs the Eagles, so that at most is a lame angle.

They’re Road Warriors who got to the Super Bowl with all road games! Ok, cool except for that they wore red at Washington and IT’S LITERALLY THE VERY FIRST SUPER BOWL FEATURING THE HOME TEAM. But yeah, wear your road uniforms :dismissive wanking motion:

But the REAL reason this annoys the absolute :censored: out of me is that I was determined to save myself some cash so I bought the Super Bowl patch with the hopes of attaching it to my Brady jersey. Which is red. WHICH IS THE HOME UNIFORM. Cool. Thanks Bucs. At least I can always count on them!

Buccs wore white at home just as much as they did red.

I do tho prefer certain teams wearing white at home. Buccs being one of them.

Bucs red over charcoal is their best look IMO and what I'd prefer to see them in usually, but from a purely aesthetic standpoint, the bowl looks better this way.

Chiefs with red-red-white vs Bucs gray-white-gray works better than the Bucs in red and the Chiefs having red lids and pants.

I know it's supposed to be pewter not gray or charcoal, but let's not pretend.

How are we in 2021 and nike can't do metallic pants properly? Or won't do.

5 of the 8 meetings between the Chiefs and Bucs, when the game was in Tampa, Tampa Bay was in white tops and Kansas City in red tops. Including Super Bowl 55.

The regular season meeting in 2020 was the Bucs in red and Chiefs in white. Then later in the playoffs, the Super Bowl notably, it's reversed. The last time when two teams met in the same stadium twice in the same season, where the uniforms were different each time, was the Giants vs Eagles in the 2006 season. Any other instances?

Actually happened 2 years ago. Philly and NOLA met twice in the Silverd....I mean Superdome. Regular season NOLA wore all white color rush and the eagles were in green over white in the playoffs the eagles were in all white and NOLA all black.

Also JETS at SD in 2004. Week 2 JETS Green/White - SanDiego White/Navy and wild card NYJ White/Green - Chargers Navy/White.

Thanks 63. I just thought about that Jets vs Chargers game. I was off about the 2006 games between the Giants and Eagles.

I looked up other games of the instances where two teams met twice during the season in the same stadium and wore different colors each time. Here are the others I found.

2015: Chiefs vs Texans

2005: Washington's former name vs Buccaneers

2000: Rams vs Saints

1999: Titans vs Jaguars

1997: Lion vs Buccaneers

1992: Bills vs Dolphins

1985: Patriots vs Dolphins

1981: Bills vs Bengals

1980: Cowboys vs Eagles

As a die-hard Bucs fan myself, it was disappointing to hear that they weren’t wearing red-pewter, but at the same time, I love their white jerseys, especially now that the NOB is black.  I’m saving up to buy an Elite jersey with a patch too, so I’m glad I’ll be buying that jersey instead of the red one.

Anyway, does anyone know if Nike will eventually make Elite jerseys with the Super Bowl patch?  Or if authentic Super Bowl patches will be on sale at some point?  I’m seeing a few homemade ones on Etsy, etc.  but if I’m gonna shell out the money for this project, I want it to be as authentic as possible.
