M4One
I thought after the Atlanta/OKC debacle, it was mentioned that the home team had first pick of which jersey to wear and then the road team made their pick. I think when Nike took over, they did decide for every team at first, but that might have changed since.
DG_ThenNowForever
I'm sure Nike tries to get the new jerseys on national TV broadcasts, which is part of the reason we complain about them so often: we only ever see the new stuff and it's completely incongruent with expectations. And also Adam Silver wants to sell as much NBA :censored: as possible, so here we are. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
MellowTheMyth
Looking at the Hawks in their City uniforms , it just made me think of how I wish they used this design as the basis of their primary set. I enjoy the clean numeral font and the striping pattern really works well, it has more charm & character than the fauxback attempt of their new set. 63Bulldogs63
Sorta random observation. Watching the ncaa tourney and there is nike teams galore. Most if the teams have armhole trim and it goes all the way around. Why the hell can't nike make an NBA template that does the same.?
walkerws
Just because it’s the NBA template. Hopefully they’ll updat It soon.

If the players have zero input on design or pre-season scheduling match-ups then I would be surprised. Players & coaches have enough to worry about leading up to a game as it is. Outside of the occasional exception, I'm sure they couldn't care less about what uniforms they're wearing that night.

Especially where the league is now, I mean just look at how much time and effort a lot of players out in just for the fit they wear to the arena. I would be willing to bet that they care a lot more than you think about what they wear on the court.

No one in the teams have a say.

Because the swingback cut is a functional design feature of the garment (similar to how a motorcycle jacket is designed to work) and the world’s premiere professional basketball league is where they pay to showcase their newest basketball tech. The audacity, I know, but these companies are in the business of bringing the most advanced sport products to market, not making sure traditional uniform fetishists who don’t buy a lick of NBA merchandise are happy with the on-court aesthetic. 14 hours ago, CaliforniaGlowin said: Yummy Y’all clearly need a refresher on Neapolitan, because it ain’t blue. pelicanfan
raptors just debuted a sweet new court that i don't think they even announced for. i thought they were just gonna use the old alternate court but they made a new one that has a wood pattern AND made it point in a chevron like direction. that's gotta be a first
pelicanfan
i know no one would care but i noticed the actual out of bounds line and the key are the same color so that means the players get an extra inch of space in the key. so a one inch advantage that probably could have saved a lot of turnovers in the past lol

Kind of ironic since they are playing against a team known for their diagonal sash.
Old School Fool
Wow, they got the OVO logo on the court. Guess it's allowed considering teams put ads on their courts now. That wood pattern is fantastic though.
