What is MLR?

Major League Rugby. I know the league needs cash, but they should have told this guy that one bad nickname based on a drink is one too many, let alone two.

I give you the Los Angeles Giltinis... The same guy who owns the Austin Gilgronis also owns the LA team. Adam Gilchrist is the owner and he co-founded F45 drinks. The colours are unique but the logo and name are something else.

Are these teams extremely cheap? Or does this guy have a ton of money?

Pretty cheap since it's a startup. Not as much as an USL team which costs around $30 million.

Dallas has now revealed their name... I give you the Dallas Jackals

Always thought Jackals would be a identity name for a sports team.

Wait.. I though this was a joke. LA Giltinis? Who the h*** in MLR thought this was a good idea!?

Oh god the Miami Vice color scheme looks tacky as heck. What is going on with MLR?

It seems like half their teams are doing really well and pulling in some solid revenue, and the other half couldn’t pay fans to be in the stands. Not sure how much longer they can keep this up, there’s only so many teams to name after alcoholic beverage sponsors.
