I received 14 entries (there's a trend here...) for the fourth event! The requirements were:

Quote

For the Alternate Logo event, you must come up with an alternate logo for one of the current teams participating in the National Basketball League - Australia. You have the choice of one of the following teams: Adelaide 36ers, Brisbane Bullets, Cairns Taipans, Illawarra Hawks, Melbourne United, New Zealand Breakers, Perth Wildcats, South East Melbourne Phoenix, or Sydney Kings.

Requirements

  • You must use the current color palette of the team. Do NOT add new colors. The only color you can add is white if you want to do so. Verify on the team's website to get the current logo, as the ones on the mother site can be outdated.
  • You do not need to use all colors from the current color palette if you don't want to.
  • Include the current primary logo in your submission as a reference. It should not take more than 150px by 150px on the template as it is not the focus of the event.

List your 3 favorites, ranked 1, 2, 3.

Voting closes on Monday, June 8th, 11:59AM Eastern Time (three days from now).

Voting is now closed.

Reminder

The voting will be open to public voting once the event is officially over. Once the finalists have been posted in the event thread, voting will be open for 3 days.

Judging is open to all board members registered before May 1st, 2020. This is to ensure no one is voting for themselves under an alternate login.

Members may vote once per event and may not vote for their own entry (I’ll know if you did, and will not count your vote). You may not disclose the identity of any of the designers of the entries until voting closes.

Voting will be via the 3-2-1- points method. Voters will be asked to post their choice for a gold, silver, and bronze winner. Gold votes are worth 3 points, Silver worth 2, and Bronze worth 1.

Gold: 4

Silver: 9

Bronze: 8

I also want to say it was really hard for me to not vote for #7. It lost out for me because it took a bit before the basketball popped in that design. I saw a circle with a plus in in, then all of a sudden.. POW! the curves on the side showed basketball.
