OK, what's up with the H logo on the cap on the left picture?

Was this a rehab assignment?

This was from an exhibition game between Pittsburgh and Wilkes-Barre where he suited up for the baby Penguins in 2001, following 9/11.  His jersey was auctioned off and the proceeds donated to disaster relief in New York and Washington.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Hank Aaron played the last several seasons of his career in pullover jerseys (and with the Brewers, that plus the beltless pants combo).

Growing up in Atlanta, I've seen the clip of Hank hitting his 715th home run so many times that he looks completely normal in this uniform. I'd argue he's more known for wearing this uniform than his previous ones.

Right. This uniform is often informally referred to as the "Hank Aaron uniform"; and the Braves have worn it as a throwback specifically to honour Aaron.

Having lived through the coverage of Aaron's pursuit of the home run record all throughout the 1973 season, culminating in his breaking it in the first week of 1974, I and every other fan my age associate Aaron with this uniform more strongly than with any other one.

He looks fine in that Heat uniform.  That's such a great look.  He, like everyone else that wore them, looks ridiculous in that Suns getup.

Oh G-d I forgot about the gradient side panels on that uniform. Who thought that was a good idea?

pretty sure we can thank Tom O'Grady for that.

And somehow the home uniforms manage to look elegant when compared to the roads. The purple road uniforms were one of the worst in NBA history.

especially when they used that dazzle fabric the first few years. Looks like a generic basketball jersey you'd see at a bargain store.

I know I shouldn't like those Suns uniforms, but I do.  I like the absence of black...the gray is not as bad to me.  Yeah, the side-panelization is bad, but I think they could have taken these colors and made a nice uniform.  I prefer these to the crap they're wearing now and to the much-loved Barkley era.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Not a Major League but 70-year old Gordie Howe in stereotypical 90s colours has gotta count.

We consider it vintage now, but for a guy like Gordie? This is super modern.
