If you look at that and the original Baltimore Ravens logo set closely, you'll notice similarities in the art style, chiefly in the almost "comic book-esque" look and feel. I'm sure I've explained all this before, but the guy who created those sets (and, coincidentally, the identity for St. Mary's College and his alma mater, Hawai'i is Kurt Osaki, head of Osaki Creative Group. If the Bucs go too simple, their uniforms would mimic their Florida counterparts. More Jacksonville than Miami, however. Not enough going on in a uniform can roll some eyes. Switch the numbers on the aways to teal and then a black and gold double outline on that and you've got a perfect upgrade. They're pretty clear about their intentions. It was sad when Treasure Island decided it didn't want to be just a pirate theme anymore.
