it’s an easy and frankly lazy catch all. You don’t know what the team told Nike they wanted, and at the end of the day, the team has the final say.  Nike is obviously going to push its agenda, but the blame goes 100000% to the team. Unless you have insider info, you don’t know that they didn’t tell the Nike team “whatever you do, we do not want orange!”

Better than the embarrassment of a set they have currently, but they kept the oversized trashy updated logo on the helmet? It still sucks then.

I could see that. The idea of the swoosh being orange doesn't seem too far out of the imagination. It'll be a bit annoying if there isn't any other orange on the  uniforms but it is what it is.

Looks good.  I'm sure they'll look much better in the sunlight.

 

Part of me wants to bemoan an overcorrection, but this is fine.  This is getting back to what made sense.

 

The helmet still isn't great, but whatever.

Those mockups look really bad. At that point, they're just the Falcons with pewter and they're further distancing themselves from the unique color scheme they should be embracing. We have enough red teams in sports, especially the NFL where the Niners, Skins, Chiefs, Cardinals and Falcons all already use red as a primary color. Orange was unique to the Bucs, this literally looks like a Falcons uni with pewter replacing white.

 

And if they're keeping the oversized flag, that just kills the helmet. I guess it's just as we all expected; they'd be horribly disappointing because it's the Bucs and disappointment is all that the franchise really knows how to deliver consistently.

Just like the only red on the Titans is the swoosh.

Again proving my point that Nike has made their logo into an important part of the team’s identity, rather than just an advertiser mark. 
 

makes it even more similar to the Jaguars overcorrection from last year.

I mean, let's level set here. Sometimes we tend to get overly negative (myself included). When looking at the new jersey vs the old, this is a definite upgrade. And listening to fans was a great call by the Bucs. It just has room for improvement.

Just a couple of minor tweaks would fix the Jags same as with the Bucs. Add the little orange trim to the Bucs and everything is back to normal. Add a little gold trim to the numbers and switch the piping on the white jersey from black to teal and the Jags are winners.

If these are them? They're fine. A bit of an over-correction, but passable. The logos still suck, but it's an overall better set than the embarrassments they've been playing in since 2014.

Definitely not a fan of that gold trim.
