EDIT: I tried opening the image in a new tab and it cleared up for me -- didn't know you could do that. @Buc I rehosted it on Imgur in case it is showing up blurry for anyone else. Great work, by the way!
BVZ 218 Posted March 26, 2020 Bucs Instagram account just posted a video of Godwin, Lavonte David and Devin White getting a sneak peek at the new uniforms. There are 3, and the players all seemed to like them. Coming in April....Godwin described them as “clean”

Coming in April....Godwin described them as “clean” Well hopefully that means those weird brown shoulder caps are gone, the numbers are no longer off a clock radio, and there are no side panels or pant stripes that fade or come to a point or spell out "Tampa Bay." Also (and I doubt they will) make the helmet logo normal sized again. It's way too oversized now and it stretches too far to the top and around the back of the helmet. Players with certain kind of facemasks and chin straps end up encroaching on the logo. Why was it made that ridiculously big? The old one came across fine and detailed. Nobody was saying it was too small to make out

Ummm, no. I didn't get the least bit upset that the Packers wore white pants. They can look like complete clowns for all I care. My point, which you totally missed, was that poster, while discussing alternate helmets said "the Packers would never do that" and the reality is they absolutely would. If the NFL told the Packers or any other team to wear a special helmet for a particular game, they would. And by the way, I never mentioned Nike, speed reader.

The NFL is worse off for having such little variety in materials.

Green Bay has fallen in line before... Yeah, I guess it just wouldn't matter to me as much as to some others. Plus the Packers might use that rule on the Brown Helmet throwback. I know Mark Murphy said we were getting new throwbacks...

Saying you "could care less about hockey" implies you care to some degree. Hence "you could less" then you do now. What you were probably going for is "I couldn't care less about hockey." And if that's the case? Fine! Hockey doesn't care about you either On 3/25/2020 at 4:26 PM, BringBackTheVet said: This is one of the dumber things I've ever read on these forums, "period". And I lived through the entire Tnak era. From day one of my life, I've been in favor of one helmet, one cap, home-road, etc. Now that I'm older, I enjoy the occasional (like... once a year) throwback game. That doesn't at all mean that I'm on the "team crazy-multiple helmets" train - in fact, I'm 100% against that, and always have been. I don't know that I'd use the word "excited" to describe how I feel, but being able to see Carson Wentz wear the Randall Cunningham-style uniform once would be fun for me. Here's a tip - don't paint everyone with a broad brush, in any walk of life. I think you're mis-interpreting @oldschoolvikings I don't think he's intending to say "if you're in favour of a throwback with a different helmet shell now and then then you're someone who wants the NFL to go full Oregon. What I think he's saying- and he can correct me if I am wrong- is that alternate helmets for throwbacks "once or twice a year" is the start of a slippery slope that will lead to at least some level of diluting the brands of the league. Had it been ok to wear different helmets for throwback games back when colour rush was rolled out? Yeah. You'd likely have seen alternate helmets that weren't just once or twice a year throwbacks. That's the concern- that once you establish that it's ok to wear an alternate helmet sometimes it becomes easier to justify other times. And before you know it you have Wacky Alternate Helmet Thursday Night Football or teams going with different coloured home and road shells. And while an annual throwback game or two won't ruin the brand equity of the NFL's helmet logos? The above-mentioned scenario that could easily grow from that would. So what I think osv was getting at was that even if you're not in favour of that? Being in favour of alternate helmets for throwback purposes puts you on the slippery slope. Now I'll be the first to say the slippery slope is a fallacy. You only do what you want to do. If a team doesn't want to dilute their helmet brand beyond just the occasional throwback? Then they won't. With that being said...there is ample evidence (from the Colour Rush experiment) to prove that most, if not all, teams will cave eventually.

As much as I'd love to see creamsickle throwbacks for the Bucs, Pat Patriot throwbacks for the Patriots, and all the others, it's just too big a risk. I'd rather have no throwbacks than the helmet trend we saw in College Football a few years back. You and Vike know that these teams wore their throwback helmets a couple of years ago, right? They didn't go berserk then and it won't happen now.
