If they wouldn't let Faith Hill wear a Titans jersey, then the cannons probably won't be allowed to be fired unless they do it for both teams. Red Comet
Dammit, that really bites. Can't they just bend the rules for the occasion? I mean, with the NFL now determining where the Super Bowls will be, this might happen more often so might as well set a precedent right here and right now. It’s still technically designated as a neutral site. Firing off the canons for a team that regularly plays at said stadium would be seen as a home field advantage type deal. It's also a possibility that Aaron Rodgers is a prima donna from California and that's why he can't stand being in Green Bay anymore. Or that management clearly wants to move on from him even after his best season there. Clearly it isn't his talent that's the issue. I also can't imagine when he does finally leave that a lot of his teammates will miss him. Always struck me as a narcissist resenting being in a small market and taking it out on everyone he can. Having a rumor about him being gay being spread around because he said dating isn't a priority can't help either. If only the 49ers didn't pick Caucasian Donovan McNabb 1st overall in 2006. As far as Chicago is concerned, the Texans look like a model organization in comparison.

IIRC he said that he didn't think about women all the time or something like that. He did have a male roommate that apparently acted like a "jilted lover" but I think people jump to conclusions too much when it comes to sexuality. He could've just been a very good friend who had a falling out with Aaron. At the end of the day, though, Aaron's sexuality should be between him and whomever he is with. EDIT: It's for an even dumber reason than I thought. TIL that not talking about your penis with other men or talking about what you do with your penis = you're gay.
