Sounds like Washington had a better offer on the table, but Detroit whiffed and decided a bad contract was a better option

Washington reportedly offered this year's 1st and 3rd for Stafford. I like the Rams deal better.

Are they going to allow the Buccaneers to fire the cannons after they score in Super Bowl LV?

If they wouldn't let Faith Hill wear a Titans jersey, then the cannons probably won't be allowed to be fired unless they do it for both teams.

Dammit, that really bites. Can't they just bend the rules for the occasion?

I mean, with the NFL now determining where the Super Bowls will be, this might happen more often so might as well set a precedent right here and right now.

It’s still technically designated as a neutral site. Firing off the canons for a team that regularly plays at said stadium would be seen as a home field advantage type deal.

You had you chance to get rid of him GB.

Should have taken The Rams offer seriously.

Hopefully they will allow them to fire it off a few times if they win.

I think they took negotiating lessons from Bart Simpson.

That is absurd. I get it that he is one of the top QBs in the league, but they are out of their minds. This feels like "we'll we put it out there and no one took us up on the offer, I guess we aren't trading him" mentality...

This seems like overcorrecting for basically setting DeAndre Hopkins outside the door for a cup of rainwater...

It's weird that the rest of the country seems to see the Packers as this bumbling and racist small-time operation when from a Chicago point of view they've been a model organization and have vastly overachieved through the years given their draft positions and market constraints. If the Packers are incompetent dopes, what does that make the Bears?

Anything looks like a model organization from a Chicago point of view.

It's also a possibility that Aaron Rodgers is a prima donna from California and that's why he can't  stand being in Green Bay anymore. Or that management clearly wants to move on from him even after his best season there. Clearly it isn't his talent that's the issue. I also can't imagine when he does finally leave that a lot of his teammates will miss him. Always struck me as a narcissist resenting being in a small market and taking it out on everyone he can. Having a rumor about him being gay being spread around because he said dating isn't a priority can't help either. If only the 49ers didn't pick Caucasian Donovan McNabb 1st overall in 2006.

As far as Chicago is concerned, the Texans look like a model organization in comparison.

Was it that he didn't want to date or was it that he had some sort of manservant as his live-in "nutrition specialist" or something?

IIRC he said that he didn't think about women all the time or something like that. He did have a male roommate that apparently acted like a "jilted lover" but I think people jump to conclusions too much when it comes to sexuality. He could've just been a very good friend who had a falling out with Aaron. At the end of the day, though, Aaron's sexuality should be between him and whomever he is with.

EDIT: It's for an even dumber reason than I thought.

TIL that not talking about your penis with other men or talking about what you do with your penis = you're gay.
