So far, this is going down in a very similar manner to that of the baseball season. Titans have multiple positives like the Marlins did. It has affected the Steelers just like it affected the Phillies. A few more positives from players on different teams. I believe this happened to the Brewers and maybe a few other teams (?). I know that the St. Louis Cardinals had a lot of trouble for a week or so. The NFL season is not even close to the point of the plug being pulled but there is still a long way to go to see if the season goes almost uninterrupted.

The more then likely plan would be to move the game to either Monday or Tuesday with the game on CBS.

This means that Buffalo at Las Vegas now becomes the only game in the late time slot for CBS. Maybe they can get one of the early games to move to the late time slot to help compensate for this.

A Tuesday game would be brutal for the Chiefs, they play LV on Sunday and Buffalo the following Thursday

Maybe cancel all Thursday games.

Remove the bye week before the Super Bowl, push the playoffs back a week, and add a make up week after Week 17.

I honestly thought the NFL should’ve went ahead and played a 10 game, 12 week regular season. 6 games against division rivals, the remaining 4 games against corresponding cross conference division, and 2 mandatory bye weeks per team. They could even utilize the remaining 5 vacant weeks for make up games before starting the playoffs. If no makeups necessary, then no big deal. Start the playoffs early. Playoffs would be in bubble cities. Considering the Super Bowl is in Tampa Bay this year, then the bubble cities would be Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa Bay, and even Orlando if needed.

Example

Bills

2 Patriots (H, A)

2 Dolphins (H, A)

2 Jets (H, A)

1 Cowboys

1 Eagles

1 Giants

1 Washington

Playoffs

Wild Card Weekend

(Jacksonville/Orlando)

Divisional Weekend

(Orlando/Miami)

Conference Weekend

(Miami/Tampa Bay)

-Skip Pro Bowl-

Super Bowl Weekend

(Tampa Bay)

I think they should do at this point.

and if the games do have any playoff implications, there is no need to make it up (only use this extra week for games that have playoff implications).

so long and thanks for all the fish.

It's looking like there will be two games on Monday as New England at Kansas City will be at 7 PM tomorrow while Atlanta at Green Bay will be moved back to about 9 PM on the same day.
