The Browns turning a blocked PAT into a two-point conversion is the kind of wackiness that the Patriots would always enjoy. Now it's happening to the Browns. I see good things ahead. Too bad they wore such crappy uniforms today.

Philly is the most injury-prone team in the league. I know Wentz hasn't played great, but where's the help from the O-line?

The o-line is all in the emergency room or on IR.  They're starting guys who are making their first start, and in one case, making his first start after having only played the sport for two years of his life.

Dak Prescott is going to throw for 6000 yards, 40 touchdowns and that offense will put up insane numbers, but the Cowboys will be 6-10 because the defense is going to give up damn near 600 points this season.

I know Kris Richard’s defense last year was painfully predictable, but at least that defense could keep teams from putting up 35-40 points every game.

And whoever decided to hire Mike Nolan, needs to be fired.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

I know the Jacksonville Jaguars are bad, all their players got hurt, and Gardner Minshew is a perfectly average quarterback, but the Cincinnati Bengals won a game and Joe Burrow looked exceptional. I'm encouraged.

Even better, the guy who blocked it was called offsides and the result was a 2 point conversion AND moving the ball up 5 yards on the kickoff.

Man, I wish I was the head coach of a college team coming off of arguably the worst scandal to hit collge sports of all time for a year. Seems like it sets you up with job security for life if Bill O'Brien is anything to go by.

I mean, if giving up a 24-0 lead within the same quarter won't get him fired, I don't know what will.

EDIT: And what do you know, the Texans finally made the right decision.

O'Brien should have been canned in the offseason and probably even before that.  I remember flipping on Houston sports radio the Monday after that playoff loss debacle last season and the only reason O'Brien didn't get the full fury and heat of the callers is because the Astros scandal broke the same day.

Watch the Jets fire Gase in the next few weeks and in the most Jets move they can make hire O'Brien to replace him.

BO’B latched onto a scandal ridden Penn State program only so he could use it as a stepping stone to an NFL job he probably didn’t deserve. Good riddance. I hope we never have to hear about him coaching in the NFL ever again.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but it seems like NE's getting screwed in this one. A clear sack-fumble -- if not a fumble then an INT -- that's ruled dead because Mahomes was "in the grass." A punt that grazes the hand of a Chiefs player, clearly recovered by NE, only to be ruled Cheifs ball. The Pats aren't helping themselves on offense to be sure, but the refs sucking is more evident.

Eh I don’t believe he touched the ball, if he did that’s more on the pats for not challenging it.

It's "in the grasp", and he was.  The rule is to protect players when they're completely wrapped up (in the opponent's grasp) with nowhere to go.  Otherwise defenders could slam them unnecessarily hard, or other defenders could take shots on them while they're tied up and defenseless.

That looked like the correct call to me based on the rule.  YOu could argue that it's not called consistently, or that the rule is bad, but those are different discussions.
