Which is exactly why the first two uniforms are the best options. Dallas even proved that the white CR pants work with the navy jersey

My fear is the helmet vs the material. I think it might look metal on top vs gray down below. We’ve only seen photo shoots with desired lighting. My gripes are a second set of pewter pants, lack of orange trim like the other jerseys, and the amount they choose to wear red and this takes a chance at red away (wait, reds too hot, but pewter isn’t?) but those are different topics...

 

EDIT- didn’t realize they were on the road creating color v color. Also, why do the Broncos use the throwback/color rush D in the end zones now?

Stripes on the jerseys and socks would help a bunch. So would just plain aqua socks. It's not bad, but it's too plain.

Teal just livens their identity up so much, and I wish they'd lean into it even more. I still feel like if they had made their road numbers teal instead of black that it would have made a world of difference on that set (and maybe they could still make that tweak down the road). The Cowboys were so close to getting it right in the '90s with the Apex double stars + silver pants (not white). That would have been the perfect primary look for a team owned by Jerruh. All they needed to do was dump their regular white uniforms - one of the ugliest looks in sports - but they could never bring themselves to do it.

As much as I love the classic 70s look (with correct blue silver pants), I like the double star color rush uniforms as a modern interpretation of the boys original uniforms. It's a perfect mashup of both looks.

Overrated by who?  I don't recall reading enough posts praising it for it to be considered "overrated".  If their double-star look is referenced fondly, it's usually just in comparison to their trash primary look - damning with faint praise.

Back in the 60's, when the Cowboys were just blue and white and the star was a single layer without an outline, the star-shoulder jerseys were kind of cool. But every newer version has been junky crap... too many outlines, whole new color scheme. So overdone.  Especially the 90's version, which looked like something Michael Irvin designed while on a coke binge at the white house.

 

So easy... metallic blue-silver helmet. Matching color for the pants. Use the current white jersey and a royal blue version of it when you're forced.

The Chargers have TV numbers, they’re just on the helmet instead. The Patriots, who knows. They must’ve decided they weren’t necessary

The NFL hasn’t required tv numbers on throwbacks for years. Now we know they don’t require them on regular uniforms anymore either.
