I think the Phillies are missing a big opportunity by not using maroon full time. No other team in the Big 4 leagues wears maroon and only two teams are close (Avalanche and Cavaliers). The Phillies could easily be known across sports for wearing maroon.

They should also wear grey roads, this looks so much better than the powder blues

Agreed.  Plus maroon is so much more interesting than the pedestrian red.

I'd love to see the Whiz Kid uniforms but in maroon.

I thought 50th anniversary was diamond? Why are they even doing 60th?

60th is diamonds (same with 75th). 50th is gold.

60th anniversaries are common in baseball.

And they've also become popular in the NFL...all/almost all teams from the AFL had 60th anniversary logos in 2019, along with the Eagles, Browns, Steelers, Cowboys, Lions, and Vikings in their respective years.

Ugh, not a fan.

Starting to be a fan of NNOB at home, and NOB for the roads.

I think NNOB looks so nice and clean on the traditional unis. The Dodgers and Cardinals would look phenomenal with NNOB.

With the Giants I just see it as a change for change's sake that did not need to happen. Every move the Giants have made over the last decade has only made their uniforms worse. If you go back ten years ago they had perfect home and road uniforms and they kept messing with them and made them worse each time. Particularly their road jerseys.

This looks pretty "close" to maroon to me but YMMV

You are right, they wear burgundy which is the same as the Avs.

One thing I will say is that the Phillies would also be the only one of these teams to not have an secondary/accent color (assuming they dropped the powder blue). That would be a big deal for their brand. But having powder blue alternate/throwback uniforms that are separate from their primary uniforms would be good for their brand as well IMO.

The Giants showed off their new home unis with the name on the back. Not good in my opinion and not a change that needed to happen. NNOB is uncommon these days and on the Giants' classic home uniforms I think the name takes away from the look.

Idk why the giants keep doing unnecessary minor changes to their gorgeous set. This and the black headspoon piping on the road uniforms are just changes for change sake that they really did not need to do. Plus they got rid of the gorgeous road alternate jersey (which should be the primary road). Only positive change they've made recently is the alternate orange jersey

I don't mind NOB for teams that have always had them but if you've gone NNOB for so long why bother going with it now? That's an awful change for the sake of making a change. And with that said, if I made this change I wouldn't even brag about it or advertise it in any way because it's gonna just upset a lot of people.

I'm a real creature of habit on this one. I thought it was odd when the Giants switched to NNOB on this most recent set -- seemed a little too quaint for me, trying too hard to go classic. But now this feels odd to me, but it also doesn't bother me too immensely. If only the Yankees and the home Red Sox go NNOB, I'm fine with that. Most of the "clean" debates can be solved for me by picking the right typeface for it.

It probably has something to do with the Giants wearing the previous home uni for over 20 years and winning 3 championships in them. When people think of the Giants now they think of those cream unis. I think if you're going to make a change like that just for the sake of change they may as well just change the rest of it. Why is it still cream? That was meant to invoke flannel uniforms and now with NOB they may as well go back to white or change the uniform more significantly.

Probably nothing more than a money grab to try to sell a lot of new jerseys this season.  Gotta recover from last year's financial losses somehow, I guess.

but don't they already release replica jerseys with NOB?
