Shmee
Rumor has it on ESPN and other channels that the Colorado distrcit attorney, and other prosecution officials, are looking to drop their charges against Kobe Bryant. Not too much is known yet, but post updates here!
jrodsep
The thing is that the girl doesn't want to testify all of a sudden. Maybe she got some $$$ the quiet?!?!?

NJTank
This was coming the case fell apart and at least we dont have t sit through a trial before the right result was done. As much as I dislike Kobe it was obvious that he did not rape this disturbed girl. Hopefully she will get some help and get her life in order. Hopefully she will get some help and get her life in order. You dang right that that case was falling apart... In fact, I knew it was falling apart when the young lady filed the civil suit... And did you notice that the civil suit is still on? It means one thing and one thing only: She did it for the money, nothing else, nothing more... It's amazing what people will do for that mean green

It's amazing what people will do for that mean green While I agree with you mostly, it should be pointed out that a civil case doesn't require the unanimous jury decision that a normal trial does. So perhaps they feel they don't have a shot to win the unanimous, but think they can pull off in civil. It still doesn't look good, but if (on the off chance) she did get raped, than it is too bad that she won't get the kind of justice she deserves. Of course, on the flip side, if she is just in it for the cash-grab...

MC Buffalo
First let me state, NO ONE should ever be forced into having sex.But having said that I want to say this.... WHEN WILL THESE WOMEN LEARN THAT THERE IS NO WAY YOU COULD EVER BE FORCED INTO DOING ANYTHING WITH THESE FAMOUS ATHLETES IF YOU DID NOT FOLLOW THEM BACK TO THEIR ROOMS ALONE. We saw it in the Mike Tyson case and now the Kobe case, they want so much to hang with someone famous and they fawn all over them for hours. They proceed back to the persons hotel room with them and then they're surprised and shocked when this person wants to have sex with them? If I was on a business trip at was sitting at a bar talking to someone for a couple hours and she followed me up to my room, you better believe I would be under the impression that she wanted the same thing I did (no not a candy bar out of the honor bar)!No means No I agree whole heartedly, but the conspiracy theorist in me thinks that there are way too many times where these women know exactly what is about to happen and figure a roll in the hay could be worth a couple million if they're lucky. I know he went to high school there, but was it something he did or said that made Philly hate him. If anything, Charlotte should be hating him. Shizznick
I'm guessing if Kobe had gone ahead and just paid her up front, we wouldn't of had to hear about this. It's always been about the money.
