It'll be interesting to see what the 32 team MLS does over the next 10-15 years without the annual windfall of expansion team fees that's occurred over the past 10.

That's why they're trying to reconfigure CCL and creating a super league with Liga MX.

Monterey Bay Football Club will be joining the USL Championship in time for the 2022 season.

The team's chairman and leader of the local investor group behind the project is Ray Beshoff. Beshoff, who made his money as a car salesman and the owner of automobile dealerships, was lead owner and chairman of former USL Championship side Fresno FC for two seasons... prior to shutting the club down and announcing that he was going to pursue relocating to Monterey in time for the 2021 USL Championship season.

Monterey Bay FC's president will be Mike DiGiulio, who has held positions at a number of Beshoff's auto dealerships. The team's sporting director is former two-time MLS Coach-of-the-Year Frank Yallop, whose USL Championship experience includes stints with the aforementioned Arizona United SC / Phoenix Rising FC, Fresno FC, and Las Vegas Lights FC.

Monterey Bay FC's plan is to play home matches at Cal State Monterey Bay's Freeman Stadium. The soccer team's ownership group has said it will be undertaking a multi-million dollar, privately-financed renovation of the facility, with construction expected to begin this summer and capacity of the facility to be increased to 6,000.

Indy Eleven has announced that they will be playing home matches at IUPUI's Michael A. Carroll Stadium until its future soccer-specific stadium, Eleven Park, is constructed. Carroll Stadium served as Indy Eleven's home for the club's first four seasons, prior to the team shifting matches to Lucas Oil Stadium for the last three campaigns.

Normally Id be focused on my team and the build at West End Stadium but here's a look at our northern neighbor New Crew Stadium. Seat installation is now begining

So it looks like Austin FC will be on the road for the first few months of the 2021 MLS Season:

FC Cincinnati has reportedly paid $13 million up front - with another $12 million in potential bonuses and incentives - to land 21-year-old Sao Paulo FC striker Brenner Souza da Silva. He'd been rumored to be on the radar of Juventus, AC Milan, Arsenal, and Ajax, with the Orange and Blue apparently sweeping in to sign him away from the Dutch club at the last moment.

MLS season will kickoff on April 17th. Schedule to be released soon.

I was amazed FCC was able to pick up Brenner. Huge move. The Orange and Blue supposedly are also going after former Atlanta United midfielder Pity Martinez.

Did MLSsoccer.com recently get rid of its comments section? I haven't found any news about it. I recently noticed that there's no snark accompanying each article on their sites these days.

Didn't even know they had a comments section.

FC Cincinnati isnt messing around this offseason. Hopefully it will actually amount to something on the pitch.

I sure hope so. MLS has a weird history of some expansion teams being great immediately while others being terrible for forever. Cincinnati joined the league with such an amazing fanbase that it'd be great to see that enthusiasm rewarded with actual team success.

FC Cincinnati is the Bizzaro Reds/Bengals. They spend money on facilities and now players and they go out of their way to listen to fans. They're clearly trying to make a splash with the new stadium set to open this year. Hopefully we can actually visit at some point this summer.

That's going to be a tight schedule assuming MLS Cup is mid-December again this year. Squad depth!

They'll just add a couple mid week games. Columbus is reportedly only playing 3 games at Mapfre before moving into New Crew Stadium. It should be interesting to see how those get broken up as well. So most likely the Crew will be away from home for at least the first two week, if not three or four.

In the past, they allowed comments on some of their articles but not all of them. Now I don't see any comments at all, which leads me to believe that they've done away with them.
