There isn't enough contrast with colored or white jerseys. It needs to get darker (and worn against teams in white) or lighter (and worn against teams in dark). I’ve never had a problem with the shade of silver. I think that the problem for me was the fact it got muddled with the silver pants. You're right, they're a few tweaks away. Some minor changes would make them probably one of the best "modernized classic" looks out there.
