flyersfan 665 Posted January 11 Ok to fix the Jaguars, we have to hire Eric Bieniemy or Brian Daboll, draft Trevor Lawrence, and..... Oh! You meant the uniforms! Here is what's wrong: - The uniforms are plain. - We wear every combination for the sake of wearing them all - We pay no mind to the matchup we're going to have. - We attempt to be a black and white team So what did I fix? - Added a second color to the sleeve stripes, and collar trim. - Added a drop shadow on the numbers to give both a unique look, while still keeping it classy, and to add color into more spots of the uniform. - Left the front logo patch instead of having it on the sleeves, and kept a wordmark off the front. - Changed the pants stripe to be wider, so it doesn't get lost - Number font stays the same (although I don't have the font I cleaned up and used the Wikipedia one). - Helmet stays the same How I'd wear it: Home: - Teal over black is the primary, 3 games a year. (Vs Colts, Texans) - Teal over white for 2 games (early season @ home in JAX sun) - Black over Teal for 1 game - Black over Black for 1 game (vs Titans, hope they wear light blue pants) - Black over (Black/Teal) for 1 game, dependent on opponent colors) - Teal over Teal only for "Color Rush" if that's still a thing - Black over White: never wear this. Road: - White over black for about 4 games, (@ Colts, Titans) - White over teal for games against Red & Orange teams - All white for Steelers, Packers, Texans, and any monotone blue The Jags decided they want to use the colors as their brand, and have no more gimmicks. I wanted to keep that belief. HOW you wear it is almost as important as the uniform itself. This is how you'd fix the Jaguars uniform blandness.
_DietDrPepper_ 4,166 Posted January 12 For minor tweaks they definitely go a long way. However, I’d opt for a number outline over a drop shadow. If you wanted some more advance changes, I’d add a more traditional pant stripe and drop either teal or black pants because they don’t need both. All in all though, these small tweaks do make an upgrade.
NicDB 2,933 Posted January 12 Not bad. But I wonder how it'd look if you made the white notch on your teal sleeves gold, then applied those sleeves consistently to the rest of the jerseys.
Dynasty 2,380 Posted January 12 There still feels like too much black and white on most of them. Making the away numbers teal would be a step up.
jaytavo305 185 Posted January 12 Id change the number font and maybe lighten up the teal, otherwise its a step up
MJWalker45 5,455 Posted January 12 I'd add gold instead of white on the sleeve trim.
Brave-Bird 08 1,703 Posted January 12 The Jaguars without gold accents will always look cheap, like a high school team that knew a uniform order would be more expensive by the color.
DNAsports 5,390 Posted January 12 I dreaded opening this thread due to fear of a forced jaguar pattern. However, I was spared. Anyway, I agree with everyone so far saying the uniforms absolutely need gold. Overall it’s still a great look!

Kind of like the Bengals do with their stripes, but do spots instead. IDK just a thought. You might have to force it a little.
bboy 2 Posted 10 minutes ago i actually really like the number font and drop shadow- it gives me vibes similar to the numbers Navy used to replicate the font used on their boats and Jacksonville is home to a fairly large Naval base. Maybe unintended, but a cool tie-in to the area
