Cool Bobby Allison tribute. Does JR still run the 88? That would have been good

He’s already done a Mountain Dew paint scheme for Darlington, in 2008.

Jr Motorsports doesn’t use the 88. However they do use the 8 with multiple different drivers. Including Jr for one race a season.

Wasn’t that a Darrel Waltrip car?

DW's car in 1981...just a classic look. I thought Ken Schrader had a Kodiak car that looked kinda like this, but apparently my memory is remembering something else.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Larson has had some crappy, super generic paint schemes this year, but this is by far the best one

Larson has largely been funded by owner Rick Hendrick himself, given his iRacing kerfuffle last year. The schemes he's been running have been a throwback (or a recolored throwback) to a scheme run by the late Ricky Hendrick, son of the owner who died in a plane crash years ago.

The Valvoline cars have always had some of the best designs.  I remember back in the 90s/00s thinking those Mark Martin #6 cars were some of the coolest ever.

Yes, this. I remember for some reason his car was always the one I liked most.

I remember being in maybe 3rd grade and having an awkward conversation with my dad when he switched to the Viagra car…

edit: adding these too, not the ones I knew and loved, but I was born in 1992. Lol

God, that new number placement is ugly. The car feels so empty, especially the rear quarter panel.

Side note, while I was expecting 32 for the second 23XI car, I do like that they have 23 and 45 - 2 3 4 5.
