GDAWG
Andy Dalton? For Chicago? I thought for some reason he was going to Denver.
Indigo
Apparently they did chase after Russell Wilson. https://twitter.com/cheeseheadtv/status/1371938210117345283?s=
Red Comet
I guess even comparing the situation to Seattle made Russell Wilson decide against going to Graveyard of Quarterbacks. Is there anyone in Chicago who would be willing to buy the team assuming Virginia’s death leads to her kids selling shares of the team? Lord knows those people deserve a franchise that isn’t run by the degenerated scions of a great king.

Well, what kind of degeneration are we talking about? Inbreeding, syphilis, PTSD from all the BS in royal life (the Tudors), or some other degeneration illness? If it’s inbreeding, we have aways to go before the Habsburg level. MLB: Project 32 (Complete), MLB: The Defunct Saga (Complete)

It's more that even if the McClaskey's injected steroids between their toes like some end-stage junkie, they still wouldn't be able to come close to filling George Halas's shoes. So, they don't even bother trying.

This may help, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Historically, it hasn't. Probably the Bucs tbh, worked well for them Obviously an outlier - getting the GOAT QB, the GOAT TE, and a handful of other high level players for non-crippling price-tags aren't exactly annual occurrences. The Fins seem to win the offseason every couple years and look how that has worked for them.

Dude was very good, great at times even, but not close to GOAT status. Let's not kid ourselves. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
DG_ThenNowForever
I think Gronk's peak year was as high as any other peak TE. He doesn't have the longevity of a Tony Gonzalez, but at his absolute best Gronk was the best. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
Red Comet
Seriously, if Tony Gonzalez didn’t play for two of the most cursed franchises when it comes to playoff success (pre-2018 anyway), there would be no question who the best TE of all time would be. I think the fact that he shined as bright as he did while playing for two of the most cursed franchises (well one of them isn't anymore) only serves to bolster Tony Gonzalez's case. For a long time it was a toss-up between him and Antonio Gates as to who was the league's best TE. (Just don't tell that to Uncle Shay-Shay... ) *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
DCarp1231
In an odd turn of events, WR Marquise Goodwin has been “returned” back to the 49ers from the Eagles due to the terms of the trade made last year.

AustinFromBoston
I'd still take Gronk any day of the week. Though obviously I'm biased Apparently Buffalo tried to make a run a Gronk (since it's his hometown) but he chose to stay with Brady. Speaking of Buffalo Sanders & Diggs is a scary combo. Now imagine if Gronk did choose to sign with them. That's a Super Bowl team. As far as "winning" the offseason, it just kind of proves why you not only need a competent GM, but a coach as well. You can get all the best players on the market, but you'll fail if you can't utilize them properly. That's why teams like The Patriots, Steelers, Bucs & have been sucessful, while Bears, Washington, Bengals, Jets Chargers always fail. The Bills seemed to have finally learned that lesson. The bucs haven’t been successful in free agency, they just finally got a quarterback who didn’t throw as many picks as touchdowns, and had him recruit all of his friends to come with him. Yeah, but the point is they went from believing they could get Wilson, to settling for Andy Dalton. That's like believing you could get a new PS5, only to ended with a used N64. Brady didn't get them Lavonte David, Vita Vea, Shaquile Barrett, Chris Godwin, JPP, Ndamukong Suh, or Mike Evens. They drafted or made deals to get them. But they also realized they needed a player like Brady & a coach like Arians who could properly utilize those pieces.

It's funny because everybody wanted Licht run out of town before Brady. They didn't even announce his contract extension -- which was part of the deal of getting Arians since they're friends -- because they knew people would be pissed. Sucks for him for Brady to get all of the credit when I think if they brought in any QB that just didn't turn the ball over like Jameis, they would've been a contender. It's worse than it appears when you think about it a little more. Andy Dalton is no longer an effective quarterback, he has serious limitations, and he needs a really good team around him to succeed, but he's already better than Foles and Trubisky and has more career wins than Jay Cutler. When he throws a pass for the Bears you could make a compelling argument that he's the best Bears quarterback ever. The Bears are the NFC Bengals.
