The fact that the Browns are on this list makes no damn sense. They just signed off on Mayfield's fifth year option. You'd get Rodgers for no more than two years, maybe three, and then you're back to having to find a new QB in the draft unless some free agent magically falls into your lap. I don't want another repeat of having to bring in Vinnie Testaverde because they got rid of Bernie Kosar. 

You don’t think they would immediately try to sign him to a long term deal? Or you think they would allow him to walk. Literally any team that’s trying to trade for him it is with the intent of having an extension signed with him too.

I figure with the CFL season pushed back to August, any team picking up Hubbard was doing it because they think he won't make the NFL roster and still be available for the end of the season. I don't think that would be the case.

If the figures are ANYWHERE near that level, it means that 8 or 9 of every 10 people that you know are wall punchers.

Ain't no way that this many people are in that demographic, unless you really mean that 80-90% are the ones who spend too much on NFL Properties (in which case I still think you're not correct).  I say this as a member of the fanbase most equated as the sarcastic 'Best Fans in Football' (I'm saying Packer fans are the Cardinal fans of the NFL) and I don't see it as that nuts among this fanbase.

I've been to NFL games and seen a ton of absolute meatheads. However, those meatheads were not the majority, or else the experience would have been chaos.

 

Not every Bills fans are jumping through tables; just the ones you see on TV. Most people just want to watch the game and go home. Very few want to punch walls during the draft and shove their wives even when they know they're being filmed.

 

(Also, a lot of those dudes breaking TVs during big play videos are clearly staged, right?)

Tom Brady is playing into 45 with a new team. Rodgers is 37 and would get an extension to any team that’s willing to trade for him. Cap space isn’t an issue because we’ve seen GM’s play around with contracts so much that everyone still gets paid and still get under the cap in some type of alternate universe math that only makes sense in sports.

The way that Andrew Berry has built this team, the money would be an issue. Also, Cleveland should not give up 2 first round draft picks. Especially if they move on from OBJ and need to get a replacement for him in either 2022 or 2023. If Rodgers is going to cry over a WR3, what would happen if OBJ or Landry left the team?

Only if they can afford to. Cleveland has been trying to set themselves up for long term success. They can win now with who they have, and for a long period of time. Rodgers won't stick around until he's 45 like Brady and like I said, after he leaves, what do you have behind him? If you're drafting in the high 20's and 30's each year that chance to get that generational QB is going to require a lot of moving pieces that you don't have to move if you keep on the current path.

Seems to me that giving Rodgers everything he wants and telling him he's the greatest ever is the last thing you should do if you want peak Rodgers. Last year the Packers drafted his replacement and got prepared to move on from him, and he had a great season.

 

The guy's a classic red ass. He strikes me as the kind of person who's only happy when he's unhappy.

He came in last in his group, but he ran a 10.36 100m. The Olympic cut-off is 10.05. Yes, that's half a second, but Metcalf is twice the size of those other dudes and is a professional football player.

 

That's pretty amazing he could run that fast.

Sprinters are also trained to react quickly out of the blocks. I don't know what Metcalf's reaction time was, but I am sure it was slower than most of the field. I am sure Metcalf could have been a decent world class sprinter if he went that route.

Sprinters are traditionally shorter in stature like 6ft. Then Usain Bolt came along. Usain is 6ft 5in. Metcalf is 6ft 4in.

His reaction was about as good as it could get, he held his own out of the blocks, then about 40-50 meters in his weight and conditioning was clearly not as good as the rest of the field and that’s when they gapped him.

I cannot for the life of me think of an athlete who’s picked up more completely undeserved chances than this guy. Urban Meyer is a :censored:ing loser and I hope Tebow catches a career ender in camp just on principle. At least that way we won’t see him wobble out onto the ice in a few years when the Tucson Road Runners give him a chance to lace em up because he’s “wholesome” or whatever.
